Paul worked signs, wonders, and mighty deeds among the Corinthians.

What signs, wonders, and mighty deeds do today's so-called apostles perform? Holy laughter? Slaying people by a spirit? Causing others to become intoxicated in spirit? Lay hands on folks and have them make "prophetic" animal noises? Hardly in the same class as the genuine miracles through Paul by the Holy Spirit. ...

"13th Annual International Gathering of the Apostles & Prophets"

They are you prophets and apostles from God. You cannot be in the middle ground. They are telling us to choose. We must choose! You must accept them or reject them. Will you follow them or will you fight them.

Will these apostles and prophets be able to perform some real signs and wonders this year instead of the "usual" which are easily being performed in the occult religions and just as easily manufactured by human methods of psychology?

Let's just hope that they stop telling people that God is only capable of miracles that can be duplicated by mere mortals. We must ask ourselves: How far has Peter Wagner gone?
How much farther will he go?

This is what the ad and Peter Wagner is telling us.

The Church is being prepared for the greatest awakening in its history. This awakening will gather the world-wide harvest that is on the horizon. To accomodate this next move. God is shifting and establishing his governmental foundation. ... Now the Apostolic office is being renewed and being established from nation to nation.

• Learn about the New Apostolic Reformation
• Prepare the wineskin for the wine of the coming century
• Understand how the new wine is found in the cluster
• Discern the coming moves of God - Understand times and seasons
• Receive a revival anointing for restoration and restitution for your area
• Impart and release a new mantle for healing and deliverance
• Receive and understand the watchman's anointing
• Teach techniques for securing harvest in your city
• Cry out for God's Glory and visitation to come to our nation

"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -- if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time." (Matthew 24:23-25)

What Benefit is the Prophetic Movement?

Why Not?

All the insights and revelations given by the restored prophets we know of historically can be boiled down to simple "bless me" statements or obvious generalized comments about the Church or world with the usual "thus saith the Lord" tacked on to them.

For example, Ken Hagin is seen as a prophet - he says he has personally seen, talked with, been taught by the risen Christ - yet he has not one theological or doctrinal answer to any of the serious issues facing the Church.

For all their swelling words and so called divine revelations - these people add nothing genuine to the life of the Church. Many of the people in these ad's are self-appointed, self-anointed, and self-proclaimed.  It is an interesting FACT that the Bible has more warning(s) about the
mission of false prophets than any other demonic counterfeit. Here are just the New Testament texts: (KJV)

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Rev. 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Rev. 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The Bible is filled with warnings so that God's people will not be deceived by these people masquerading as the oracles of God. Yet today, sadly, many of God's people have itching ears and are running as fast as they can to hear the latest "word" from the mouth of one claiming to be a prophet of our Lord -

Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs, Bill Hamon, John Eckardt will be the prophets/apostles/and teachers leading this meeting. According to these folks "To accommodate this next move, God is shifting and establishing His governmental foundation. . .Over the last 12 years we have seen the voice of the Prophet restored and resounding in our land. Now the Apostolic office is being renewed and being established from nation to nation."

The common theme in all of these meetings is basic:

• God is in the process of restoring the office of the prophet and now, apostle, back to the Church.
• These two offices form the top echelon of "God's Government" of the Church.
• The Church is incomplete and will not come to maturity without the divine insights and revelations these "restored" offices will impart.
• Eventually denominational walls will be destroyed and the "City Church" will come be birthed.
• Each city will have one Church ruled by several apostles & prophets.
• These apostles & prophets will receive from God the "vision" for the City Church
• They will transmit this vision in large united city-wide meetings and also transmit the divine direction through bishops, who in turn will give it to the local shepherds, who will in turn give it to the people.

• The Church has, by-in-large, been a failure and must be "restored" through these offices.
• The Church has lost many great truths which are now being restored to her.
• The canon of Scripture is insufficient as a guide for all faith and practice. We need human prophets to reveal the will of God for us as individuals and individual churches.
• Doctrine divides, little to no orthodox Christian doctrine is stressed or taught in these meetings.
