Critical Missiological Issue! The "Indigenous People's" (IPM) or "First Nations" movement is an unbiblical movement teaching heresies and doctrines of demons. It is being spread worldwide by YWAM, Don Richardson, John Dawson, Richard Twiss, Terry LeBlanc, Daniel Kikawa and many other adherents. The IPM or World Christian Gathering On Indigenous People is full of the false teachings of the Third Wave, New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), Word-Faith, Dominionism, Latter Rain and many other false theological systems. But it does have it's own distinctives that are driven by the works of Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss, and Don Richardson in particular. They are teaching Christians to "redeem" their cultures by worshipping their former gods, pretending they are YHWH.

Dear Friends,
How can a man who claims he knows the Gospel, but who doesn't mention it in the media when given an open door, applaud a person who did not regard the Gospel as exclusive and of the highest importance?
Mother Theresa was on the cutting edge of this wider mercy doctrine. In a film entitled 'Mother Teresa', originally given in its world premiere at the United Nations 40th Anniversary celebration in 1985, she gave a familiar message of religious universalism: 'No colour, no religion, no nationality, should come between us." Mother Theresa practiced today's open Catholicism "I love all religions. ... If people become better Hindus, better Muslims, better Buddhists by our acts of love, then there is something else growing there." She upheld that there are many ways to God': "All is God--Buddists, Hindus, Christians, etc., all have access to the same God." (12/4/89 Time, pp. 11, 13) While we can agree to love all religions and people there is a vast difference as accepting them as valid. Mother Teresa told everyone no matter what their religion: "If in coming face to face with God we accept Him in our lives, then we are converting. We become a better Hindu, a better Muslim, a better Catholic, a better whatever we are. ... What God is in your mind you must accept" (from Mother Teresa: Her People and Her Work, by Desmond Doig, (Harper & Row, 1976), p.156)

In Joshua 1:8 God said: "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it." So, what exactly did God have in mind when He told Joshua to meditate on His word? Well we can be certain of one thing. The Lord was not suggesting that Joshua sit in the lotus position and repeat a mantra until he attained altered states of consciousness. "These help bring one into states other than normal waking consciousness, in which a person becomes open to mystical experience, the spirit realm, or cosmic consciousness," warns Bill Muehlenberg. The sort of meditation God had in mind was not Eastern meditation. He has made it clear that His people are not to adopt pagan practices and those who do are out of His will. The purpose of eastern-style meditation is to "seek the God within." That's pantheism, brethren. People who hold this view believe that God is all and all is God. "A tree is God, a rock is God, an animal is God, the sky is God, the sun is God, you are God, etc." The biblical view is that God is separate from His creation. Genesis 1:1-30

Contemplative Music for Children?

While Christian contemplative music specifically for children has not become popular yet within the evangelical church, there is plenty of music designed to help children meditate in New Age, Catholic, and mainstream (Episcopal, Orthodox, etc.) circles. One CD, Children's Yoga Songs and Meditations plays songs repeating various mantras such as "Om," "Sa Ta Na Ma" (a form of Kirtin Kriya yoga), and other Hindu and Buddhist chants.

This study is up for interpretation but I find descriptions of leviathan in the Bible fascinating. This creature that existed, and may yet exist, is used as a description of the might and power of the enemy.
Isaiah 27:1 In that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea. (NASB)
Speaking of the "day of the Lord", when the Lord comes back again to rule and judge the earth, Isaiah says that the Lord will punish Leviathan the dragon. Satan is likened to leviathan, a serpent, and he is said to live in the sea.
Revelation 13:1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. (NASB)
Again the dragon comes out of the sea, which is symbolic of the nations of the world, but perhaps is also tied to a literal meaning. He has multiple heads which are symbolic of the heads of the nations of the end times, but he is also said to have multiple heads before the symbolism of the nations of the revived Babylon come into being, as recorded in Ps. 74:14 and Job.
Psalm 74:14 You crushed the heads of Leviathan; You gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.
