This DVD is a message based on this article.

I am going to go over an article I wrote back in 2006 in preparation for the book I wrote with Mike Oppenheimer called 'Idolatry in Their Hearts'.  This book is an apologetic against the false teachings of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People movement, the Emerging Church and the New Apostolic Reformation which got their ideas from the book "Eternity in Their Hearts" by Don Richardson.  At the time that book came out no one really saw the dangerous ideas Richardson was promoting.  All they would have had to do was look at the two subtitles of that book to understand the implications.  The first subtitle in the 1981 edition read: The Untold Story of Christianity among Folk Religions of Ancient People.  Those who read this book found some interesting cross-cultural ideas but apparently missed the false premise of the book starting with the subtitle. How could Christianity be "among folk religions" where the Gospel had not been preached (Rom. 10:14-15)? At that time Christians who read the book were apparently satisfied that, though there was some questionable material present, it made for an interesting discussion on how to do cross-cultural ministry. The subtitle it has today, which was first published in 1984, is as follows: Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds of Cultures Throughout the World.  This should have been a red flag for many Christians but then, who reads subtitles?  But how could the "One True God" be known to Gentiles who did "not know God".

We are told in the last days that false prophets will increase, that deception will be pervasive in the world and IN THE CHURCH. What are the New spirit movements and methods that are consistently springing up and entering the church? Discernment is the need of the hour for our survival and keeping the faith of Biblical Christianity. In this video we use some of the worst examples to show the dumbing down of the church in discernment, resulting in deceiving the church. We will learn where and from whom this originated in modern times. Revelations that contradict the Bible, new books in heaven, glory services, Dominion goals of the New apostles and prophets, people claiming to go to heaven, prophetic interpretation of tattoos and piercings, new age healing, drunken stupors, becoming frozen and silent. What is passing for revelation and Bible teaching is astounding. We need to understand what is taking place and stand in the faith to be victorious. How do we identify it or refute it?  How can we protect ourselves and others. Discernment is a gift that accompanies the Holy Spirit who is our umpire that keeps us awake to distinguish truth from error. The Bible tells us to grow in discernment, so that we can mature and help others who are easily deceived. Being grounded in the core doctrines of the faith and building on them makes one immune to the many deceptions that surround us today, this is what this video series is about.

Worship More Pagan than Christian?

There is a great misunderstanding in churches of the purpose of music in Christian worship. Churches routinely advertise their "life-changing" or "dynamic" worship that will "bring you closer to God" or "change your life."Certain worship CD's promise that the music will "enable you to enter the presence of God." Even a flyer for a recent conference for worship leaders boasted: "Join us for dynamic teaching to set you on the right path, and inspiring worship where you can meet God and receive the energy and love you need to be a mover and shaker in today's world. Alongside our teaching program are worship events which put you in touch with the power and love of God." The problem with the flyer and with many church ads is that these kinds of promises reveal a significant theological error. Music is viewed as a means to facilitate an encounter with God; it will move us closer to God. In this schema, music becomes a means of mediation between God and man. But this idea is closer to ecstatic pagan practices than to Christian worship.
