(KJV) Israel had turned away from the Lord and had gone after the gods of Canaan, namely Baal and Asherah. Because Israel had prostituted herself with false gods in worshipping the polytheistic gods that started at Babel, God had declared He was divorcing Israel and would send them into exile until they again returned to the true God. But Judah prided itself in doing what God had commended as they had Jerusalem and the Temple. They disdained Israel for setting up altars to Baal and Asherah poles on high hills. Yet God was not fooled by Judah's pretence. In the KJV it says they were not worshipping God with their whole heart but "feignedly".

The first author to identify himself as "Pre Wrath" was CS Lovett in his book "The Latest Word on the Last Days" (1980). It was probably Lovett who actually invented the term 'Pre Wrath'. His view of Pre Wrath combined the Post Tribulational views of Dr. Samuel Tregallis with a Pre Wrath position because he placed the wrath of God only at the very closing phase of the final 7 years preceded by the rapture. While we don't have anything about Ed Silvoso on our site, we are familiar with the transformation movement. It's not exactly like Rick Warren's agenda. It is more along the lines of the NAR movement and the redeeming the cultures movement. Silvoso and other leaders in the transformation movement may have good intentions, but they are kind of like the salesman who promises miracles with his product, and people buy it because of all the hype, but in the end, the product doesn't deliver.
