Dear Friend,

If you are visiting this web site for the first time or are a repeat visitor and are confused or offended at what you read here, please let us explain what we are trying to do.

This web site is here to expose false teaching and practice that has crept into the Christian churches.  We will always have false religions of the world and the cults, but what we are dealing with here are the "tares among the wheat", the "wolves among the sheep".  This web site is not here to condemn people.  It is here to help Christians discern false teachers and false prophets and to warn them against those who are unrepentant and continue to teach and promote false doctrine.  This web site and those who are linked here are not rebuking people of their own doctrines but by using the Scriptures as the only basis for all matters of doctrine and faith.  Everything is held up to the light of the Word.  All actions, words, teaching and prophesy must meet the ultimate test of the finished revelation of the inerrant Word of God, which is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Tim. 3:16-17)  We do not judge or discern from our own subjective worldview, as many do, but strictly from Scripture.

We want those who visit here, who are caught up in a church or have put themselves under the authority of one the people we are rebuking, to know that we are not judging you in regards to your eternal salvation.  That is between you and God alone.  But we are here to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to exhort others and teach sound doctrine.  We do not believe in taking the Scripture out of context as many false teachers do.  We do our apologetics based on proper context.  When was the passage written or said?  To whom and under what circumstances was it addressed?  What is the intended meaning within the culture of the time when God breathed the words?  How can we apply the timeless holy message of the Bible to our lives today?

All the exegesis we do on this web site is based on the Five Basic Doctrines of the Christian faith, as well as all doctrines based on what is taught in the sixty-six books of the Bible, which is our highest authority in all matters of faith and practice.  You should also read our stand on the definitions of the words "religion", "cult" and "aberrant" entitled Defining Terms with reference to the religious beliefs of those we are doing apologetics about on this site.  The definition of "heresy" is any teaching that explicitly or implicitly teaches against any one of the following basic doctrines of Christianity:

    1. The Trinity: God must be one "what" and three "who's" with each "who" possessing all the attributes of
        Deity and personality.
    2. The Person of Jesus Christ: Jesus is 100% God and 100% man for all eternity.
    3. The Second Coming: Jesus Christ is coming bodily to earth to rule and judge.
    4. Salvation: By grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
    5. The Scripture: It is entirely inerrant and sufficient for all Christian life.

Where the people and organizations or movements deviate from these five basic doctrines is where we depart from them, if they do not come back to sound doctrine.  We have found that ALL other religions of the world deviate from at least one of these basic doctrines, and every cult and the Third Wave counterfeit revival teaches and promotes ideas, either explicitly or implicitly, that are in opposition to at least one if not all if these doctrines.  If any person or movement is teaching or promoting by action a deviation from any ONE of these doctrines, we rebuke them and admonish them to return to the truths of Scripture.  If they do not repent publicly, we are duty bound from the Scripture to separate ourselves from them. They are no longer our brothers in the faith, not a part of the true body of Christ. We do not hate them but pray for them and preach the gospel to them as well as continuing to strive to show them their error from the Word.  We can not treat them as brothers, but treat them the same as anyone else who needs to come under the authority of the Scriptures and the law of Christ, which is salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

We want you to know that we do not hate you but rather admonish you in love if you are teaching or have been deceived by teachings that deviate from these basic doctrines of the faith.  The reason for this web site is the hope it will help many to come back to a complete faith in Christ and come under the authority of the Word.  We are happy to talk with you via e-mail and help you find the materials you need to come to a full knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  This is our goal, not one of "heresy hunting" as we and others have been repeatedly accused.

The following verses from Paul to Timothy have become our motto, if you will.

2 Tim. 4:2-5   "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry."

Myths abound today.  False teachers are everywhere, especially on the television and radio, and traveling to every country of the world trying to take the spotlight away from the true work of God in the local church and missions and placing it on "signs and wonders" and on false testimonies people have made up out of their fertile and sinful minds.  Many Christians have itching ears today, no longer wanting to hear the truth of God's Word to obey it, but instead would rather see and participate in a circus atmosphere and listen to wild unsubstantiated stories.

If you need help to discern the times we live in, there are many good books and ministries that can help you.  A number of them are listed or linked on this web site.  We are always here to work through these issues with you.

May the Spirit of God continue to strive with you as you open your ears and heart to the Word of God, the Scriptures, and as you take up your cross and follow Christ Jesus, who was Himself the Word incarnate.

In His Hands,
DITC
