The feature article in this DITC e-Newsletter is "THE GOSPEL AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE: A REVIEW OF PETER WAGNER’S CONFRONTING THE POWERS" by JOHN F. HART, Professor of Bible, Moody Bible Institute, Journal of the Grace Evangelical Society, Spring 1997 -- Volume 10:18.  This review of C. Peter Wagner's 1997 book shows that (1) some evangelicals have not been caught unaware by Third Wave evangelical pretenders like Wagner and (2) the beginnings of the New Apostolic Reformation were already in full swing in 1997.  The hermeneutics of Wagner, the justification for his beloved "new" Apostles and Prophets, is simply wrong.  His whole foundation for subjects like strategic level spiritual warfare, spiritual mapping, foundational apostles and prophets for the Church today, and other Latter Rain concepts has been swept out from under him by Hart.  Let this be a wake up call to all evangelicals who support people like Ted Haggard, a member of Wagner's "International Coalition of Apostles" who is now the president of the National Association of Evangelicals ... Latter Rain heretics have invaded the Church!  Our use of the word "heretic" is based on the fact, even by Hart's estimation, Wagner undermines the highest authority of Scripture when he teaches what he teaches.  The inerrancy and authority of Scripture is a core doctrine of the Church (see The Five Basic Doctrines).  Third Wavers like Wagner not only deny one core doctrine, by their teachings they end up denying them all!  Why the Church has allowed these people to the place of prominence they now hold in Christendom and in most churches is beyond me!
