Think on These Things Ministries is a vital outreach ministry of Southern View Chapel. Think on These Things, which began in 1994, was originally the name of a one-page paper created for a mission agency, who wanted to keep their missionaries informed of the theological landscape in America and around the world.
Today, Think on These Things has grown into a monthly publication that deals with contemporary theological issues, and is sent to subscribers in nearly every state in the U.S. and to numerous countries around the world. In addition to the monthly articles, Think on These Things Ministries hosts Bible conferences and serves as the publishing arm of Southern View Chapel, featuring the writing ministry of Pastor Gary Gilley, who has authored several books including, Is That You Lord?: Hearing the Voice of the Lord, a Biblical Perspective, This Little Church Stayed Home, This Little Church Went to Market, and "I Just Wanted More Land"-Jabez.
Think on These Things is currently funded by Southern View Chapel and the generous gifts of its readers. While each issue of Think on These Things is available through our website, many receive a monthly subscription through the mail or email.

Mike Gendron is the Founder and Director of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry. Mike was born into a devout Roman Catholic family where he was taught early on that the Catholic Church is the one true church. He went on to teach high school Catholic doctrine but eventually he would realize that the zeal he had for his religion wasn't based upon biblical knowledge. The journey toward that realization began one morning when he was reading in the Dallas Morning News that a man was coming to town to give a 3 day seminar discussing the evidence for the Christian faith. The man that was giving the conference was Christian apologist, Josh McDowell. Mike left the conference knowing he had to read the Bible, something that is discouraged in the Catholic religion as Catholics are told it's too complex, therefore answers must come from the priests. Mike's study of the Bible made him realize that God's plan of salvation is diametrically opposed to the Catholic plan. What did Mike do next? How did the things taught to Mike in Catholicism differ from what he was learning from Scripture? Join Mike as he presents the answers to these questions and also shares his passion to not only reach Catholics with the truth but to also equip the saints to reach out to them as well.

More than at any time in the history of the world, people who profess to be Christian are claiming to see Jesus. Their claims include elaborate stories of how Jesus suddenly and physically appeared to them, spoke to them, and even took them into visions and visits to heaven. They back their claims with smiles and tears, along with subtle, well-rehearsed words to assure their listeners their stories are "real" and "true". Solid, Bible-based Christians agree that every word that Jesus Christ spoke was pure, perfect, and holy. His words are truth, and are just as reliable and trustworthy today as they were 2,000 years ago. Despite these facts, there are growing numbers of professing Christians who deny Jesus' words, and work overtime to convince others to believe in what they say over what God has already said in His written word.
