Dear Friends,

The "mother church"? I don't think so. This is a religion that was syncretized with paganism since it's inception in the third century. Yet there is a big move in many denominations to get back together with Rome. This is happening because so few people actually have studied the Catholic Church and what they teach. We pray that many Catholics will abandon the "mother church" and come back to Jesus Christ and the written Word!

It is all too easy in the busy world in which we live today to get caught up in worldly concerns that would tend to draw our hearts in a different direction than God intends. A Scripture that comes to mind is the one in Proverbs that says: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23

Elijah List Supports Kim Clement's "Pope Francis" Prophecy

Imagine my disappointment, yet total lack of surprise when, only a few days later, Steve Shultz and the Elijah List gave it's unconditional and unabashed support of Kim Clement's prophecy in a post titled "Kim Clement: Pope Francis - Appointed to Join the Hearts of Protestant Faith - Catholic - Those Who Are Spirit-filled." Kim Clement, who has had guest appearances on TBN and possesses a HUGE online (and offline) following, is the Elijah List's "star performer" (with Todd Bentley being a close "runner-up") so it is in their best interest to promote him every chance they get. Count on it ... wrong or right, if Kim comes out with a "word from God," the Elijah List will promote it.

Some who have read the previous four parts to this series dealing with Rick Warren's interview with Raymond Arroyo of EWTN may still be asking the question: Why would Understand The Times spend so much time and energy on this topic? What is wrong with "America's Pastor" expressing his support for the Roman Catholic Church and many of their beliefs and practices? The answer is simple. Bible-believing Christians are called to "contend for the faith" [1] . When a Christian leader publically makes statements or endorsements by saying or doing things that contradict the Bible, the leader needs to be addressed in a public manner so those who have been influenced can be put back on track.

Why the Catholic (and Emerging Church) "Eucharist" Does Not Line Up With Scripture

The Catholic Church teaches that once a Catholic priest has consecrated the wafer of bread during Communion, the wafer turns into the literal and real body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ.1 Therefore, the Communion Host is no longer bread but Jesus, under the appearance of bread and is therefore worthy of adoration and worship.
