I am sorry to say this but Bethel is clearly a cult of Christianity holding to most of the teachings of the Latter Rain and Word of Faith. They have demonstrated repeatedly a manipulative atmosphere targeting young people in particular while preaching rank heresy. This new film is a continuation of those false teachings and practices. I pray for the young people in that church that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and thus come to know the true Holy Spirit.

In a recent Huffington Post article American pastor Rick Henderson 'came out' to name both Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen as false teachers. This is significant. Few pastors are willing to defend the truth today. Truth Watch has been lamenting this fact for over 12 years. Most of them are more afraid of incurring the wrath of some segment of their congregation than they are the wrath of God.
"Brain stoppers" is a term I came up with to refer to a variety of tactics used by leaders in the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) to discourage their followers from thinking critically about NAR teachings. I've written a series of posts about different brain stoppers, starting with "Brain Stopper No. 1: Name Calling." Another brain stopper, I call the "Book Ban," is employed by Bill Johnson-senior pastor and NAR apostle over Bethel Church in Redding, California.
