It's "Glory Dust" And "Manna" In The Apostate Church
Well, here we go again. On OpenHeaven.com we find a report as of 1/15/03 of "Revival, Gold & Manna". This report is backed up with no facts, pictures, or documentation ... just more unverified stories by those who want to entice others into their "love feasts" (Jude 1:12). Let's look at some of the "facts" of this report so we can dispel this "myth" biblically and get back to reality. I quote from their "report":
We've just finished a week of Signs & Wonders Campmeeting in London, Ontario, Canada. It was a tremendous time of refreshing and soaking in the presence of the Holy Spirit.Where in the Bible does it tell Christians to "soak" in the Holy Spirit? This concept cannot be found. Is the Holy Spirit a river, a lake, a bath, a jacuzzi, a dish of Palmolive dishwashing liquid, or some kind of supernatural substance we are to wallow in? Is He not a Person, the Third Person of the Triune God? This kind of rhetoric by these people is blasphemous.
During worship on Thursday evening Joshua had a word of knowledge to call out those who needed dental miracles. The altar area quickly filled up and many people were touched by God's healing power. Soon everybody was caught away, singing in the spirit as a new wave of God's glory was being released.True biblical dental miracles would consist of new teeth, not new gold fillings. God is not in the business of creating gold in people's mouths, otherwise He would have filled a number of teeth while He was on earth. The gold of a true believer is faith:
1 Peter 1:7 These have come so that your faith— of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire— may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Obviously these people were not "caught away" because that would mean they were raptured, which I doubt they will ever see if they continue this nonsense. But what is a "new wave of God's glory"? There is no such thing. God's glory is complete, there is nothing new about God's glory except that his mercy is new every morning. God does not change (Num. 23:19), Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). It makes you wonder if these people have the Son, because the Son is the perfect representation of God's glory.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
These people are glorying in experiences "beyond what is written" (1 Cor. 4:6). They have "gone too far" (2 John 1:9). They will know nothing of the glory of God unless they submit to the Son, and to do that they must obey His word.
Luke 11:28 He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the
word of God and obey it."
John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my
love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
One lady described the feeling as "Liquid Love", while another pastor's wife said that she felt like "Liquid" was flowing throughout her body while she laid on the floor, slain in the Spirit.The love of Jesus Christ is not manifested in some titillation of the flesh. His love was manifested in His sacrifice for us.
1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
Now laying down does not mean we manifest love by being slain in the spirit. Slain in the spirit has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with biblical Christianity and everything to do with the occult practice of Shaktipat in Kundalini Yoga and other cult religions. It is unbiblical and an abomination. It is blasphemous in that the manifestations of laughter, animal behavior, and other perversions are being attributed to the precious Holy Spirit.
On Thursday evening while Edgar Baillie was ministering, gold dust and glory dust began falling and forming on his suit jacket.We've all heard of "gold dust" by now, which has been proven to be stationary glitter and other substances than gold every time it has been tested. But "glory dust"? What is that? It's not in the Bible, that's for sure. Since this is not biblical either, maybe it's time for us to shake off the dust and get away from those who will not heed the Word.
Matthew 10:14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
Along with Joshua and Janet Mills, Harold and Kaye Beyer ministered by sharing their testimony and God sent enough manna for everyone present at the meeting to partake. People were weeping and crying, while others were joyful and some people began running to the altars as the manna was being released. Manna fell once again at the end of the service in Harold's hand... many people witnessed this as it happened. One Pastor took some manna up to the hospital to give to a cancer patient, while others took manna home to give to the sick. Another Pastor took some home to his sick boy and he instantly recovered as he ate of the manna. To God be all the Glory!Now we come to the manna stories. The problem is, God stopped sending manna after the Israelites entered Canaan.
Joshua 5:12 The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate of the produce of Canaan.
The manna was persevered in a jar in the Ark for future generations to see, because they would have no evidence of it. In other words it would not be given again.
Exodus 16:32 Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded:
’Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they
can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out
of Egypt.’"
Exodus 16:33 So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an
omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations
to come."
Exodus 16:34 As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna
in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.
Exodus 16:35 The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they
came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the
border of Canaan.
Manna will not be given again till the "hidden manna" is given in the Millennial Kingdom to those who overcome in the Tribulation.
Revelation 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.
So if this was not manna from God, where did it come from? More than likely from the supermarket. But if it was truly a "miracle" manna, it likely came from the only other source of the "lying wonders" in this world ... from demonic sources. There is no way to be sure if this story is even true and where the manna came from, but you can be sure it did not come from God.
The whole point of remembering manna today is to know that the Israelites ate manna and died, but we can eat of the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ, and live.
John 6:58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."
These folks are feasting on manna because they are still wandering in a wilderness of sin and rebellion against God.
Be sure to test all things, hold on to the good. Holding on to the good means we must discard the bad. This stuff is bad. Get as far away from this heresy and this judgment from God as you can!
