Demon
Possession Christian Information Ministries, 1995
"What about Christians? Can they be demon possessed? We have no
doubt that professing Christians can be possessed. 85% of the population
in the U.S. claims to be Christian. It is difficult to believe that a person's
body can be occupied simultaneously both by the Holy Spirit and a foul
spirit. When I Cor. says our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit it uses
the greek word naos, the same word used for the Holy of Holies in the OT.
We find no warrant from Scripture for the belief that a true, regenerate
Christian can be demon possessed. That a true Christian can be influenced,
harrassed, be oppressed, or be in bondage to demons there can be little
doubt, otherwise the admonition to put on the whole armor of God would
make little sense."

Warfare: Should Christians Speak to the Satan? by Shawn Paul Sauve,
1996
"What this article is debating is the practice in many churches
of speaking to the devil. During services at many churches it is perhaps
easy to get the impression that the congregations and teachers spend a
significant amount of time not talking to God, but to the devil. Often
in these churches you will hear people shout statements like: 'Devil! You're
not welcome here you foul beast from hell!'; 'Satan! Take you hands off
God's property! We command you to . . . !'; 'Devil! You're a liar and we
are stomping on your head!'." I have read many such statements in sermons
given by leaders of the Toronto/Brownsville "counterfeit" revival.
(3) Scriptures
That Confirm That Christians Can Be Demonized by Deception In The
Church, 1997
Many Bible references to Jews and Christians who were demonized or
warned of demonization. This supports the theory that many of the manifestations
evident in the "counterfeit" revivals may well be of satanic origin.
(4) "Counterfeit"
Spiritual Gifts by Gayle Rogers, 1997
This is the personal testimony of a Christian who was demonized through
Christian sorcery. "I testify from personal experience that demons can
enter a Christian's thoughts with loving Christian words and offer spiritual-sounding
exhortations. Demons know Scripture and how to use it for their purposes.
Many unguarded believers are manipulated and demonized this way. They are
gently guided to lead others astray with awesome spiritual feelings and
manifestations, believing that Scripture is being fulfilled before their
eyes. My heart cries to the Shepherds that you might earnestly protect
your flocks from these dangers and seek the counsel of those who can help.
I have seen the genuine gifts in operation, but I have seen and heard a
great deal more that are questionable. The balance to maintain as a faithful
steward is found in the call to be sober and vigilant. His gifts of the
Spirit are real and will humbly yield to the light of thorough examination.
Seek Him in prayer. He is waiting to help."

Adultery Series - Demons by Dean & Laura Van Druff, 1997
"This study looks at the pathology of demonic captivity and the
Scriptural use of the concept of possession. As a Biblical type, the "birds
of the air". This study should be approached with circumspection and discernment.
"When they sin against you... you become angry with them and give them
over to the enemy, who takes them captive."
(6) Account
Of A Christian Who Was Demonized By Being "Slain In The Spirit" by
Kurt Koch, 1978
Taken from Koch's book, "Occult ABC", from the chapters on "Charismatic
Movements" and "Demon Possession". This is a case study of a man who was
a professing Christian, subsequently "slain in the spirit", and demonized.
The demons were cast out, but were interigated first. This story should
make Christians today much more cautious about jumping in "the river" and
allowing themselves to have hands laid on them to receive the "manifestations"
of the Third Wave "counterfeit" revival movement.

Thorny Problem: Can A Believer Be Demonized? by Cross + Word, 1997
A recent well-documented article on the subject of the demonization
of Christians.
(8) Do
Demons Have Zip Codes? by Chuck Lowe, author of Territorial
Spirits and World Evangelisation?, Christianity Today, July 13, 1998
"The closest things to territorial spirits in the New Testament
are angels, not demons."
(9) Should
a Christian be Concerned about Curses Today? by Mike Oppenheimer,
Let Us Reason Ministries, 3/21/05
If Jesus broke the curse, how can we who believe in Him have a curse?
Did Jesus remove our sins by the cross or only some of them? Did Jesus
remove the curse against man for not fulfilling the law by the cross or
only part of it? This is what needs to be answered. Does His blood not
cleanse all things as it says in the Bible? “The blood of Jesus Christ
His Son cleanses us from all sin” (I John 1:7). Salvation can also
mean deliverance. Those who have accepted His message are translated from
the power of darkness into the Kingdom of God’s beloved Son. That is what
the Bible says, and no mans teaching should be given priority over this.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away
and behold ALL things have become new!” It all points to Jesus Christ crucified--
Jesus Christ and Him crucified gives us victory.
