Great Discernment Tools!

Replacement Theology On Steroids
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

So, as you can see, the root of this teaching is that Israel no longer holds the distinction of being the tree from which the Root of David (Jesus-Rev. 5:5, 22:16) came.  They are no longer the "natural branches" (Israel-Rom. 11:21) on to which Gentile Christianity (the wild shoots-Rom. 11:17 or wild branches-Rom. 11:24) are grafted in (Rom. 11:17-24).  According to Replacement Theology, Christianity has now become its own branch apart from Israel (the natural branch) that produced the Root and all the promises of the Bible to Israel have been taken away from them and given to the Gentile Church.  This is why you hear so many false teachers taking verses out of context from the Old Testament and willy-nilly applying them to the Gentile Church.  This methodology has been going on for decades in liberal churches and has been popularized by many false teachers on TV. But the fact is that Replacement Theology is utter false doctrine.  It denies promises made to Israel, some of which have already been fulfilled and some which are yet to come to fruition. But when you add the fact that the Inclusivist WCGIP proponents are now saying that God planted hundreds of different trees, cultures all over the world, that are not connected to the natural branch, tree and Root, you have what can only be termed Replacement Theology on steroids!

Those Who Do Not Lead Christians to Maturity
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

The Scriptural definition of maturity is to learn to discern truth from error so that the Christian will no longer be double minded, blown about by every wind of teaching and by the schemes of crafty people.  But the problem today is that so few Christian teachers are feeding their flock's solid food.  They are serving up milk and, because of that, people are starving. Yet they often don't even know they have been on a starvation diet.  Amos 8:11 "The days are coming," declares the Sovereign Lord, "when I will send a famine through the land -  not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord."

"... and all liars"
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

Lying is a problem for all people (Ps. 116:11).  We are all sinners (Rom. 3:23).  Those of us who are Christians are "sinners saved by grace" (Eph. 2:8) indwelt by the Holy Spirit in our "new self" (Col. 3:10). But we still live in our "old self" which we must "put off" (Eph. 4:20-25) by taking up our cross daily and following Christ (Luke 9:23).  The difference between unbelievers and those who are truly born again is that believers no longer "practice sin" (1 John 3:9, see my Bible study on 1 John!)  They have the indwelling Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:11) who convicts them when they lie (John 16:8). True believers then repent (1 John 1:9) and go on to "practice righteousness" (1 John 2:29) with the Lord's help.  The unregenerate, the false brothers, or those who have fallen away (Gal. 5:4, Mark 4:17), practice lying.  They practice a lifestyle of lying because their consciences are seared (1 Tim. 4:2) and the Holy Spirit, when convicting them, cannot break through the hardness of their unrepentant hearts (Eph. 4:17-19, Heb. 3:13).

Four Books That the Enemy Has Used To Corrupt Christianity
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

The four books that have changed the church by giving an introduction to the false teachings of the New Apostolic/Latter Rain (NAR), the Emerging Church/Contemplative/Catholic Mysticism (EC), pragmatic Church Growth (CG) methodologies of C. Peter Wagner, Robert Schuller and Peter Drucker, and the teachings of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People (WCGIP) are as follows:

Surprised by the Power of the Spirit by Jack Deer, Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster, Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren & Etnerity In Their Hearts by Don Richardson.

These four books were widely read by Christians from virtually every denominational background before their ramifications and the movements they would spawn were known.  They lay error alongside truth so were considered not to be a threat to churches.  Therefore these books then became part of the consciousness of many Christians and churches, thereby laying the basis for the introduction of the modern day false teachings of the NAR, EC, CG and WCGIP that have become part of the landscape of Christendom today.

Night Marchers and UFOs on the Big Island
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

With the resurgence of the old religion of Hawaii and the continual invocation of Pelé and other "deities" for years in the secular culture and even in churches with regards to worshipping 'Io, is it any wonder that those beings are beginning to manifest again?  In a story called "Night Marchers" on the Kawaihae site and in a YouTube video on the same subject, eyewitnesses claim all kinds of sightings that they think are the warriors, ancestors and demi-gods of Hawaii coming back.  Interestingly the first book the Hawaiian Heritage site recommends in its "Suggested Reading" list is "Perpetuated in Righteousness" by Daniel Kikawa that we reviewed in our book "Idolatry In Their Hearts" by Sandy Simpson and Mike Oppenheimer. Since Kikawa claims that 'Io is the True God and one that the Hawaiians worshipped in secret, we have to wonder if Kikawa also thinks 'Io is showing up in these night marches? Since YWAM, Aloha Ke Akua and Hilo New Hope participated in worshipping 'Io at the "edge of Hale-ma'uma'u Crater" it sounds like they have all been inviting the old "gods" to return to Hawaii.

"They Will Believe
The Lie"
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

I am doing a Bible study right now on what I would call "renewing our minds".  It is based on this verse:

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The only way to renew our minds is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and be saved, then to study the written Word and allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach us.  Our minds are corrupted by virtue of the sin nature and what we have learned in life because our filters are off. I gave an illustration of straining coconut to make coconut milk.  If you use a 1 inch screen everything will pass through.  Even if you use a quarter inch screen you will get mostly coconut meat in your milk.  You have to use a fine screen in order to separate the milk from the leftover.  Our filters are off and the first thing God begins to do is correct our worldview, because if your worldview is off you will not understand God's reality.  We need to learn to see things from His perspective.  This is why I started this study by going back to an original problem.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

This has always been an interesting passage to me for a few different reasons.  What is "the lie" that is talked about here in verse 9 and 11?  What are the ways that "wickedness deceives those who are perishing" and how long has this been going on or does this only begin to happen at the coming of the lawless one?  In what way does "the lie" cause those who do not believe the truth to "delight in wickedness"?

Deceiving The Nations!
4-DVD Series

Critical Missiological Issue!

The "Indigenous People's" (IPM) or "First Nations" movement is an unbiblical movement teaching heresies and doctrines of demons. It is being spread worldwide by YWAM, Don Richardson, John Dawson, Richard Twiss, Terry LeBlanc, Daniel Kikawa and many other adherents.  The IPM or World Christian Gathering On Indigenous People is full of the false teachings of the Third Wave, New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), Word-Faith, Dominionism, Latter Rain and many other false theological systems.  But it does have it's own distinctives that are driven by the works of Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss, and Don Richardson in particular.  They are teaching Christians to "redeem" their cultures by worshipping their former gods, pretending they are YHWH.

"Christians" Who Try To Poke Holes In Sola Scriptura
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article: "Christians" Who Try To Poke Holes In Sola Scriptura

There are a number of the leadership of the Emerging Church (EC) who do not believe that the Bible is the highest authority for the Christian faith.  Most do not believe that the Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts and many do not acknowledge that the Bible is our highest revelation.  Yet this is a core doctrine over which true believers and false brethren must separate. Those who try to poke holes in Sola Scriptura make excuses like (1) we need to reinterpret the Bible through the lens of postmodern culture and religion (2) the Bible never uses the words "Sola Scriptura" therefore it is not a Biblical concept (3) there is new revelation for the church through the Holy Spirit apart from what is written and the precepts of the Bible and (4) the Bible just doesn't address our postmodern situation therefore we cannot rely on it for the truth and answers for our problems today.  I will prove that all the above arguments, and more, from EC leaders and others is exactly what they are teaching.  I will give you quotes from their teachings, videos and books. The postmodern church and its "movements" are abandoning Sola Scriptura in their rush to be like the Roman Catholic Church, which takes its authority from a mix of Scripture and tradition.

"As a result the Church, to whom the transmission and interpretation of Revelation is entrusted, "does not derive her certainty about all revealed truths from the holy Scriptures alone. Both Scripture and Tradition must be accepted and honored with EQUAL sentiments of devotion and reverence." (Roman Catholic Catechism, Given October 11, 1992, the thirtieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, in the fourteenth year of my Pontificate. Page 31).

Updated DVD!
The Question Of Dominion
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article: The Question Of Dominion.

I am writing this article as an apologetic against the Third Wave, Latter Rain, Word of Faith and Reformed Theology teachings that the Church is to rise up and take over the systems of government, businesses and every other aspect of life. "See, the problem is, is that Satan has had too much of his way in our society because he has a government!  And the only way to overthrow a government is with a government.  It won't happen otherwise.  So therefore the government of the church has to get into place in the extended church just like we do have it very well in place, we haven't reached our goal yet ..."  (Transcript of C. Peter Wagner, Arise Prophetic Conference, Gateway Church, San Jose, CA, 10-10-2004) Wagner has substituted the "government of the church" for the coming government of Jesus Christ in the Millennial Kingdom.  Wagner is "Kingdom Now" while the Bible teaches "Kingdom Come". What I wanted to do with this article is put the issue of dominion to rest by studying the definition the Bible gives to dominion and ruling authority.  When we look at the subject we can easily ascertain what is going on today and what God requires of the Church.

Shepherd Or Hireling?
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on the article: "Shepherd Or Hireling?"

The Bible lays out the definitions of both an overseer (under shepherd) and a hireling.  John 10:11-13  I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. (KJV)  1 Tim. 3:1-3   Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. (NIV)  Titus 1:7-13  Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless, not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach - and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one of their own prophets has said, "Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith. (NIV) A hireling does not really care about being a watchman, but is more concerned with protecting his reputation, position and income.  A true watchman will guard the flock against wolves from within (Acts 20:30) and without (Acts 20:29) no matter the cost to his reputation, position or income. Following is a little quiz you can take to see if you are a true Biblical under shepherd as a leader in your church, are becoming a hireling, or are one now.

Testing Music In The Church
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on these articles: Testing Music In The Church, Testing Music In The Church-Part 2, and Worship Song Ratings.

Too many churches today are allowing music to be used in their services that is not glorifying to the Lord and can actually be a hindrance to the teaching of sound doctrine. Pastors and leaders should be using their leadership role to test what is being played and sung in their churches. Though some are quick to test preaching and teaching from their pulpits, many ignore the music being used in the same services. This is a tragic mistake. Music is a powerful medium. It is something that effects deeply the body, mind and emotions. It is a proven fact that music often stays with a person far longer than what is taught or preached. Songs roam around in our heads, especially if the melody appeals to us. What is often overlooked is the serious impression music makes on people, and the teaching they are getting over and over again as they allow the song to repeat in their minds and on their lips. Music teaches things much more subtly yet sometimes far more effectively. That's why the lyrical content of music in the church, as well as its effect on the spiritual lives of those who perform and listen, should be vigorously examined by the leaders of the church.  This is a 2-DVD set.

Examine Yourselves & Hold On!
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on the articles "Examine Yourself To See If You Are In The Faith" and "Hold On!"

2 Cor. 13:5  Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.
Do you not realise that Christ Jesus is in you - unless, of course, you fail the test?

People who call themselves followers of Christ or "Christians" and claim they are born again must believe certain things.  If they do not then they fail the test of faith.  They can claim they are born again all they want and "once saved, always saved" but if they fail the test of faith there is no eternal security.  Only God knows who will be saved, from beginning to end, because of His foreknowledge and omniscience (Rom. 8:29, 1 Pet. 1:2).  God did not make an arbitrary judgment about who would be saved and who would not.  His Spirit is given to those He foreknew, when convicted of sin by His Holy Spirit, would choose to believe and commit themselves to Jesus Christ.  We are not God and we do not have His omniscience.  Therefore, according to Paul, we must be sure our belief system is in the right place once our eyes have been opened to the Truth.  I am not saying we do not have assurance of salvation, but our assurance comes not only because of His Atonement and promises of salvation but from our continuing in the Faith, which is always the Biblical criteria. Those who would be Bible teachers must teach according to the whole counsel of God's Word.  Let me be clear. There is only one way to salvation.  That is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.  I will deal with a few of those issues following, but it is important to recognize that being saved is not just a matter of believing that Jesus lived, or that He was a man, or simply giving mental ascent to His existence in whatever form.

"Blasphemizing" The Bible
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

I am going to go over an article I wrote back in 2006 in preparation for the book I wrote with Mike Oppenheimer called 'Idolatry in Their Hearts'.  This book is an apologetic against the false teachings of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People movement, the Emerging Church and the New Apostolic Reformation which got their ideas from the book "Eternity in Their Hearts" by Don Richardson.  At the time that book came out no one really saw the dangerous ideas Richardson was promoting.  All they would have had to do was look at the two subtitles of that book to understand the implications.  The first subtitle in the 1981 edition read: The Untold Story of Christianity among Folk Religions of Ancient People.  Those who read this book found some interesting cross-cultural ideas but apparently missed the false premise of the book starting with the subtitle. How could Christianity be "among folk religions" where the Gospel had not been preached (Rom. 10:14-15)? At that time Christians who read the book were apparently satisfied that, though there was some questionable material present, it made for an interesting discussion on how to do cross-cultural ministry. The subtitle it has today, which was first published in 1984, is as follows: Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds of Cultures Throughout the World.  This should have been a red flag for many Christians but then, who reads subtitles?  But how could the "One True God" be known to Gentiles who did "not know God".

Resources For Pastors
including
"Good English Bible Translations"
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

I was talking with a pastor after a Wednesday night service and he mentioned that I said I had done an article comparing English Bible translations.  He called me up later and asked me to come back and present the contents of that article I sent out in about 2002 to my mailing list for the Pacific Waves Newsletter which, unfortunately, I can no longer afford to publish and mail.  However an archive of past issues of that newsletter can be found here. In that article I detailed a number of good and bad resources for pastors including Bible translations, concordances, commentaries, Bible dictionaries, etc.  I present an edited version of part of that article on this DVD, particularly dealing with English Translations of the Bible.  Translation is a very detailed endeavor and should only be undertaken by those with a proper education in that subject and a sound doctrinal background.  I read a few books on that subject and it helped me understand the complexities involved.  Hebrew is a rich language so it is hard to distill one Hebrew word down to one English word.  Greek is a very technical language and it is also not easy to translate.  This is why it is imperative to use the good English translations out there for comparison along with a good concordance and Bible dictionary.

A TALE OF TWO KINGDOMS
Kingdom Now or Kingdom Come?
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

There are two kingdoms being taught in many churches today. Teaching about one of the kingdoms is on the decline while the other is being promoted all over the place.  I am warning Christians that they need to check out who is using the word "kingdom", the books they have been reading and recommend on building "the kingdom", the people they have been hanging out with at conferences, and what they mean by "the kingdom".

This DVD series is a teaching based on this article.

From Church To Emerging Church DVD Series
by Sandy Simpson
The issue of the Emerging Church and it's introduction into many churches and mission organizations has reached a critical point.  Many do not undersand what is being leavened into churches by the EC leadership.  Many would be shocked to know their belief systems involve Universalism, New Age, defense of postmodernism, Interfaithism, and many other false doctrines.  In order to reach out to this generation the EC leadership is proposing a whole new "map" to deal with what they perceive is a lack of understanding on the part of the churches on how to communicate.  EC proponants believe the "scripture" for today is evolving and must change in order to reach postmoderns.

Idolatry In Their Hearts
Landmark Book!
by Sandy Simpson & Mike Oppenheimer
Does having eternity in your heart mean that you know God and are His child? Could Gentile cultures understand the Gospel from the stars? Did God create man's cultures? Has God always been in the process of redeeming cultures from the time of Babel by placing in them a true revelation of Himself? Is there the worship of YHWH in all cultures and religions through the names of supreme beings?  Have all cultures always had a way to make things right between them and God? These questions and many more are answered in this book that addresses the false teachings of The New Apostolic Reformation regarding missiological methods as being carried out by many agencies including the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People, YWAM, and many Bible societies.

Lessons In Forgiveness
Great Study!
by Sandy Simpson

Through the years I have been presented with many opportunities to forgive. Sometimes the situation was so severe that it took me some time to forgive and start the process of healing for myself, and eventually for others. I learned that a Christian needs to forgive other people even if they have not repented of their sins. That can be really hard if we let it be hard. But if we give our burdens over to the Lord, He will carry them and that frees us up to treat other people with love, compassion, and be in the right frame of mind and heart to set them up for reconciliation with Jesus Christ. That does not mean we tolerate their sin. We simply forgive them for what they have done to us, whether perceived or real, and move on to looking for ways to redeem them. We can then present to them the "truth in love" even when we have to rebuke them.

(1) Benny Hinn's Duplicity in Christianity Today, Oct. 5, 1992 Benny Hinn lies about heretical statements he made, as well as his testimony. He is credited as being a mentor for John Arnott of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. "Television preacher Benny Hinn, whose sales in Christian bookstores in the last year-and-a-half have exceeded those of James Dobson and Charles Swindoll combined, told CT last September that he would submit to the counsel and constructive criticism of others (Christianity Today, Oct. 28, 1991, p. 44). But Hinn's rhetoric since then has raised questions in some people's minds about his sincerity. For instance: "Now I'm pointing my finger with the mighty power of God on me. ...You hear this. There are men and women in Southern California attacking me. I will tell you under the anointing now, you'll reap it in your children. You'll never win. ...And you children will suffer. You're attacking me on the radio every night; you'll pay, and your children will. Hear this from the lips of God's servant. You are in danger. Repent, or God Almighty will move his hand. ..." That is what Hinn told an audience on August 7 at Melodyland Christian Center in Southern California."

(2) Beware Of Charismatic Leader Benny Hinn in Dave Hunt's CIB Bulletin, Feb. 1992
Benny Hinn visits Kathryn Kuhlman's and Aimee McPherson's graves for the "annointing", and other wacky things. "The secret to Hinn's power is his peculiar anointing, which he connects with Kathryn Kuhlman and Aimee McPherson, founder of the Foursquare Gospel Church. He first felt the "full power of the Holy Spirit" on him at a Kuhlman healing service in 1973-- and her mantle has presumably fallen upon Hinn. He conducts his meetings almost exactly like hers -- though it takes Hinn much longer to get his audience into the expectant mood that seems to generate psychosomatic "miracles." In an April 7, 1991 sermon, Hinn revealed that he periodically visits Kuhlman's grave and that he is one of the few with a key to gain access to it. He also visits Aimee's grave, where he says: "I felt a terrific anointing ... I was shaking all over ... trembling under the power of God ... `Dear God,' I said, `I feel the anointing.' ... I believe the anointing has lingered over Aimee's body." Here's another version.

(3) Benny Hinn - His Teachings Biblical Discernment Ministries, 1992
"Hinn claims to actually be a channel for God-that God enters him and takes over his mind and tongue to the point where he is unaware of what he has said. After his sermon on December 31, 1989, at Orlando Christian Center, during which he gave several future prophecies, Hinn expressed that he was drunk-presumably on the Holy Spirit-and asked someone to tell him what he had just said. In another statement, Hinn asserts that though we are not Almighty God Himself, nevertheless, we are now divine (12/1/90 TBN)."

(4) One Pastor's Experience And Response by JDS, 1995
"After attending a Hinn meeting in New York, a pastor wrote the following to our Gen. Superintendent, Rev. Thomas Trask, Gen. Sup't., AOG." These types of letters may have resulted in Hinn "resigning" from AOG.

(5) Benny Hinn Controversies Continue After Resignation The Inkhorn Vol. 8 No. 1, 1997
"As we told you briefly in the last issue of The Inkhorn, Benny Hinn resigned his credential with the Assemblies of God. His resignation was accepted in late October (1996). Hinn has indicated to district officials in Florida that he was pressured to resign by officials at the denominational headquarters in Springfield. The Springfield officials have denied this, but then again they denied that Benny Hinn would be anything but a blessing to the movement." Hinn's "resignation" may also be the impetus behind his recent condemnation of the manifestations at Brownsville AOG.

(6) Televangelist Benny Hinn Has Publicly Renounced Faith Theology by Ron Rhodes and Paul Carden, 1993
Here is a previous example of Benny Hinn recanting things he was preaching and doing, only to subsequently go back to doing and saying those same things. Can we trust what Hinn has now said about "preaching the gospel only" and "manifestations" at Brownsville being of the devil? If you believe that, you'd better read this article where he recanted and -- and then remember all the times since 1993 that you saw him do and say the same heretical things he has always said.

(7) E-Mail Comment On Benny Hinn's Recent Remarks by Name Withheld, 1997
An e-mail that is a thoughtful commentary that brings up some deep issues regarding Benny Hinn's new view of himself as an orthodox Christian, who is now against manifestations at Brownsville AOG and is for preaching the full gospel message.

(8) Benny Hinn And Necromancy (Talking to the Dead) by Joseph R. Chambers, 1997
Benny Hinn is an admitted necromancer.  Judge for yourself, by Hinn's own account of when the "anointing" on his ministry "doubled" whether or not this "anointing" is from the Holy Spirit or from contact with evil spirits posing as dead people like Elijah and Kathryn Kuhlman.  The Bible states clearly that necromancy, talking to the dead (actually evil spirits), is an abomination to God:  Duet 18:10-12   "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD ..."  Saul was judged by God for trying to bring up the spirit of Samuel, the only time in history that God permitted this for his own purposes.  Read this entire account from the lips of Benny Hinn.  There are only three possibilities.  Either he actually had these experiences, which is impossible according to Scripture; or he made them up out of his own imagination, in which case he is a liar and need to repent; or these were actual demonic encounters.  Even if this account is a mixture of imagination and demonization, ALL CHRISTIANS SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THE COUNTERFEIT ANOINTING OF BENNY HINN, and the rest of the Third Wave.

(9) Kathryn Kuhlman - From "Occult ABC" by Kurt Koch, 1976
Here is a chapter from the famous book "Occult ABC" by Kurt Koch. It is significant that Koch felt he should include Kathryn Kuhlman in this book. This is the woman that Benny Hinn received his "anointing" from and whose grave he visits to receive more "anointing" on occasion. She is the same woman who was a mentor for John Arnott at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, where the Toronto "Blessing" subsequently began. Note the striking similarities between what is going on in the "counterfeit" revival movement today and Kuhlman's meetings. This is one of the bad seeds that started this whole mess to begin with. Would that more research were being done into the fantastic claims of "healings" today. Many of Benny Hinn's "miracles" have been debunked already. Yet adherants to this Third Wave movement continue to tell and retell completely unsubstantiated and subjective stories, because the "end justifies the means". We must continue to expose the false miracles, teaching and prophesy in this movement for what they are, while reaching out to the people who have been fooled by these Christian sorcerers with prayer and with arms of love. "When we recognize our own guilt, the desire to cast stones goes away. Nevertheless, we are not spared the necessary duty of acting as signposts to the Church of Christ, even when this means great heartache."

(10) A Foundation Of Sand by Perry Pellegrini, 1991
Here is one example from the past where Benny Hinn admitted heretical teaching, yet did not really follow through on making a public apology for something that was taught in public. This is a pattern with Hinn. He continues to apologize for some of his many heretical statements and actions, yet does not go back to teaching sound doctrine but rather continues teaching, preaching and evidencing further heresy. "It is apparent that Mr. Hinn is not being completely honest. The fact that he has admitted his errors is admirable, but means nothing if his words cannot be trusted."

(11) The Battle of the Hinnites by Deception In The Church, 1998
"The man of iniquity is about to be revealed. False teachers like Benny Hinn are merely setting the stage for the final apostasy that is coming. All the world's religions will join together in the "anointing" that is not of the Holy Spirit, and have one big millennium party. The sad thing is that, over the shoulder of the Third Wave, even while they are fiddling their lives away, the rest of the world will be crashing and burning in sin and doomed to ultimate damnation."

(12) Benny Hinn: His Golden Egg by E.L. Bynum, 1998
"Benny Hinn made the following statement during an appearance of CNN's ‘Larry King Live' program,
‘God did not have to send His Son, but He did because He uses men'. It is Hinn's contention that Christians are ‘little
Messiah's' and ‘little gods'. He has even gone so far as to state, in reference to himself, ‘I face devils as the Son of God.'"

(13) Benny Hinn by Watchman Fellowship, Inc., 1992
"To date, Mr. Hinn is continuing with the same horrible faith teaching, false prophecy, and gross theological error. Noted charismatic theologian J. Rodman Williams repeats his warning that "Hinn is prone to exaggeration and extremism...[his[ exegesis is frequently unsound and unbiblical", and after attending some of Hinn's services writes that in those meetings "psychological techniques are mixed in with the spiritual."

(14) Benny Hinn's Move Into Necromancy by G. Richard Fisher with M. Kurt Goedelman, 1997
"Hinn’s move in the direction of the occult should not be a surprise. The modern-day Pentecostal movement, which began in 1906, has muddled beginnings and a prior history of involvement in spiritism. Azusa Street drew in spiritualists and mediums and contemporaries of that day were reporting seances, trances and other outlandish and occultic behavior. Once the door of unrestrained subjective mysticism is opened, Satan and the flesh can have a field day. God’s Word is our only protection against the demonic as well as ourselves. "  Here's an alternate site to read this article.

(15) A History Lesson For Benny Hinn by G R F, Quarterly Journal, October-December 1992
"PFO [Personal Freedom Outreach] continues to investigate preacher Benny Hinn's claim that his father once was mayor of Jaffa, Israel (The Quarterly Journal, July-September 1992, pp. 1, 10-14).  That investigation has revealed that for a number of political and historical reasons, Costandi Hinn, a Jaffa-born Arab, could not have been mayor of an almost totally Jewish city. Jaffa technically did not exist after 1948 because it was merged with all-Jewish Tel Aviv forming one municipality called Tel Aviv-Jaffa. There was no city of Jaffa when Benny Hinn was born."  You may get a copy of this article from Personal Freedom Outreach, A History Lesson for Benny Hinn,Benny Hinn; Vol 12, No 4. (22) Benny Hinn Tries To Keep Ex-Aide Quiet by Henry Pierson Curtis, The Orlando Sentinel, Dec 9 1998
If this isn't a perfect picture of where the love of money leads, I don't know what is.  The Bible says that Balaam the sorcerer "ran greedily" for profit.  Necromancer Benny Hinn seems to be having the same problems.  Other articles showing problems in and around the Hinn organization by the Orlando Sentinal include "Nightmare Of Heroin Hits Hinn Ministry", and "Hinn's Foes To Settle Suit With Sheriff In Orange".  (These stories are no longer online and are now on archive at the Orlando Sential.  You can find them by searching the archives.  If anyone has a copy of the complete stories online, let me know.)

(23) Shocking Facts About Benny Hinn by Christian Witness Ministries, 1998
"Benny Hinn is a Roman Catholic mystic, who is taking the Pentecostal and Charismatic Church down the ecumenical road towards Rome."

(24) Unmasked ... Benny Hinn by Christian Witness Ministries, 1998
"Frequently when presenting the following and similar facts about Benny Hinn we encounter the statement: "Yes but Benny Hinn has repented and so it's wrong to dig up the past." However the Bible position regarding serious sin (heresy is a serious sin) is that it carries consequences. Furthermore the Bible clearly teaches that true repentance results in a change of behaviour. We publish this article with a deep sense of compassion and concern, especially for the large numbers of Christians who are confused or deceived but also for Mr Hinn himself and for those who endorse, sponsor or promote his meetings. Those who deceive are frequently deceived themselves. We must look at the facts."

(25) Benny Hinn - Touch, Topple, Tilt! by Let Us Reason Ministries, 1998
"Benny Hinn and this kind of supernatural phenomena could not exist in a biblically-centered atmosphere. His errors would be immediately exposed in discerning, Bible-believing congregations, submitted to and operating within the Word of truth. There is no room for Holy Ghost theatrics. The further removed from God’s revelation people get, the more they will succumb to spiritual leaders who claim powers from on high, while taking the church away from true worship. When people are steered by euphoric feelings, in awe of the stage and the performers charisma, the heart drifts far from God."

(26) Benny Hinn - Truth Or Consequences by Let Us Reason Ministries, 1999
"I admonish you to exercise caution and discernment. See whether Mr. Hinn teaches Bible truth. Then you can watch over your soul and you can rightly divide the Word of truth in showing yourself a workman approved of God. Only then can you protect yourself and others from becoming victims and experiencing the consequences of Hinn’s Fables.  "

(27) Lourdes And Fatima Endorsed By Hinn by G. Richard Fisher, 1998

(31) The Next Level Of The "Anointing" According To  Benny Hinn by Mike Oppenheimer, 1999
"One does not have to wait very long for new developments to happen when they are "under the anointing". Hinn  has spoken of different levels to the anointing in the past. As Philip Powell has succinctly put it, Hinn has taken it to "the next Level." In this new move he has taken the next elevator down."

(33) Former General Secretary Of AoG In Australia
Makes Public Statement About Benny Hinn
by former General Secretary of AoG in Australia, Philip L. Powell, 10/18/99
"I have little hope that he (Hinn) will ever be recovered though I trust he will and would rejoice if that were to happen. He must withdraw from public ministry for such to be effective in terms of Biblical requirement. He should be rebuked publicly that others may fear, as should all those who promoted him and his deceptions. Benny Hinn is clearly a false prophet. He predicted that revival would come to New Zealand by the beginning of 1999. It didn't. There is no revival in New Zealand."

(34) Benny Hinn's Romance With Necromancy, Part 2
by Mike Oppenheimer, 1999
"I was in prayer one day and a man appeared in front of me. It happened for two days in a row. ... He was about six feet two. Old man. Had a …Glistening white beard. ... Eyes - crystal blue. He had on a white garment ... On his head was a like a shawl - like a - like a like a covering… every part of him glistened like crystal. ... Now, I know you may think I've lost my mind, but the Lord said, "Elijah, the prophet." ... You know, when that happened? That happened days before the anointing on my life doubled." (HONOLULU CRUSADE Feb. 28, 1997)"

(36) Benny Hinn - Going Lower! by Philip L. Powell, 1999
"According to an eye witness account: "In the recent Denver crusade Hinn became a different person under the influence of the "anointing" unlike anything seen before. So much so, that his voice changed to a "growl". He was telling the people to raise their hands and exalt the master Jesus. It was obvious that he was not talking about the Jesus of the Bible. He also cursed all, who would raise their hands against his ministry in word or deed."

(44) The Cult Of Benny Hinn by Rev. Joseph Chambers, Paw Creek Ministries, 2000
"Benny Hinn is certainly a trendsetter in the New Wave movement.  Before we learn about some of his teachings, lets remember the importance of truth.  The Bible states, "For truth is fallen in the street..." (Isaiah 59:14b).  Probably, no Biblical statement could more accurately describe our present religious world.  Truth has become relative.  It means different things to different people, even within the ranks of what we call Biblical Christianity.  I don't mean differences in non-essentials, but almost every fundamental doctrine is now under siege as preachers scramble the Holy Words.  One thing to remember -- you cannot sanctify false doctrines by the multiple use of Jesus' name or by the presence of miracles."

(45) Benny Hinn - Possessed By Devils? by Rev. Joseph Chambers, Paw Creek Ministries, 2000
"Hear Benny Hinn, in a guttural voice, say "I place a curse on every man  and woman that will stretch his hand against this anointing."  This was obviously an evil spirit.   Many more parallels are drawn between the kingdom of satan and Benny Hinn's ministry.  See necromancy, etc. on this video."

You are In deep, serious danger.” He then changed his mind and said, “At one time I felt that my teachings could not be challenged... (64) An Examination and Critique of Benny Hinn's "Good Morning, Holy Spirit"by Richard J. Vincent , TheoCentric, 11/27/97
"The error in this book far outweighs the truth that is sprinkled throughout it. To summarize, though it is true that the Holy Spirit is fully God and is also a Person with whom we can have communion with, it is very much in error and downright heretical to teach that (1) the Holy Spirit and God the Father have their own distinct bodies; (2) the Holy Spirit is the most personable and approachable Person of the Godhead; and (3) Jesus is merely an anointed man that would have failed without the aid and assistance of the Holy Spirit. All three errors strike at the foundation of Christian doctrine--the Nature and Being of God. Therefore, this book cannot be recommended in good conscience."

(75) Faith Healing Or Mesmerism by Immanuel Ministries
You believe that evangelist Benny Hinn is anointed of God? In reality, he uses mesmerism! That's a shock for some of you, I know, but I'll prove it to you. This technique was formulated by Franz Anton Mesmer, a physician and healer who achieved remarkable cures comparable to cases presented in today's Miracle Crusades, although - remember this - Mesmer never used God's name in his practice. This German physician successfully developed a method to relieve the pain of his patients, believing in an invisible, curative fluid pervading the universe that could influence the human body. Some kind of an "anointing" if you will that acts on the mind of the person. This was the foundation of hypnotism.

(81) The Loving And Intelligent Face Of The "Revival" by Cross + Word, News Flash, July 2003
This e-mail (one of many I might add) is here to show you the indoctrination and propaganda that is warping the already weak minds of some who follow this revival blindly.

(82) Benny Hinn's Response To Dateline NBC by Sandy Simpson, 1/11/03
There is no need to go into the history of Benny Hinn because he has been around what seems like forever and has been investigated enough times so that most people know quite a bit about him.  An excellent resource on the history of Benny Hinn is available from Personal Freedom Outreach in a book called "The Confusing World Of Benny Hinn".  Hinn has been investigated by two major secular news shows, and by some Christian news media as well.  Most recently he was investigated by Dateline NBC in a show that aired December 27, 2002.  All of these shows showed evidence that Benny Hinn has been scaming people for their money with false healing claims that he cannot prove.  He was asked on all these shows to provide medical proof of the miracles he and his follower claim to be experiencing, but to date not one shred of definitive evidence has been provided by the ministry.  Hinn did provide evidence, but when it was investigated the claims turned out to be claims without medical justification.  Quite contrary to Hinn's claims, a number of people have died who Hinn proclaimed healed. Read the entire transcript of Benny Hinn's refute of the Dateline NBC program here.

Hinn's vision for the church to help in rebuilding the temple.

(85) The Cult Of Benny Hinn by Paw Creek Ministries, 1/04
The coming of Jesus Christ and the appearing of the Antichrist are both at hand. The very elect are at risk as we witness the confusion in religious circles. Very few men are willing to publicly speak to the evidence of the New Wave movement. There are many trendsetters that appear to be teaching a new way that they call a "paradigm shift."

(86) Gene Edwards - A Mystic's Way by Mike Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, 5/04
Gene Edwards recently was interviewed on Benny Hinn's program on his new book.

(87) Benny Hinn - The Heretic by The Door Magazine, August 2003
Toufik Benedictus Hinn, known to his family as "Tutu," didn't much like living in Palestine with an Arabic first name, so early in life he became Benny. He was not particularly noted by his classmates at College de Frere elementary school in Jaffa or, after the family emigrated when Benny was 14, at Georges Vanier Secondary School in Toronto. In his sermons and books, Hinn has portrayed his childhood as that of a social outcast, handicapped by a severe stutter, who was nonetheless a stellar student. But when G. Richard Fisher and M. Kurt Goedelman, two journalists who write for Christian publications, looked into Hinn's youth, they found that both claims were untrue: nobody remembered Hinn stuttering, and he had dropped out of high school after the 11th grade. The reason I use these particular examples – "white lies" that by themselves don't really mean that much – is to indicate how twisted Hinn's mythmaking can be. He invents things that reflect badly on him just as easily as he invents things that reflect well on him. Psychologically he can't stand the unadorned truth.

(88) The Most Popular Man In The World? by Mike Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, 6/04
Some may not like what I’m about to say but if you reflect on this you will find it to be true. Benny Hinn is the most popular individual figure in Christiandom next to Jesus Christ (For some it maybe more.)

(93) Do You Believe In Miracles? by Justin Peters, CBC News, 11/04
(Justin Peter's) Master’s thesis, completed at the end of 2002, was an examination of the life and ministry of Benny Hinn. As research for his thesis, Justin attended several Benny Hinn Crusades. However, his requests for interviews with Benny Hinn were denied.

(94) Vinod K. Isaac of Jasmine Computers Hosts A Pro "Benny Hinn" Web Site (The site belongs to his sister who is not revealing her name!) by Sandy Simpson, 3/05
There is a web site on the Internet, and there are others, that attempt to vindicate Benny Hinn's false prophecies, false teachings, necromancy and other unbiblical things he is doing.  Recently the author of this site, the sister of Vinod K. Isaac, initiated an email exchange with me.  Vinod, her brother, owns a computer outfit in Chicago called "Jasmin Computers" and is apparently hosting her web page on his computer site.  Unlike most Christian web sites, including ours, who are up front about who we are, his sister has never revealed her name on her site and there is no way to contact her other than an email form.  It wasn't until she wrote me, claiming to be Benny Hinn by signing her emails "BH" and using his name as her email address at bennyhinn2@yahoo.com that I made the connection between her and her web site. She accused me in her emails of not giving the facts about Benny Hinn, in fact calling me a liar and a deceiver. I cannot reprint her emails here because it is a violation of ethics concerning private and protected by copyright law.  Those who wish to reprint private emails are duty bound by common copyright laws to ask permission of the author to do so, which we do on our site. In response to her invective and accusations, I sent her a number of links to articles about Benny Hinn.  Her subsequent responses showed that she had not read the articles I sent her.  I then began to attach the full length articles to her emails, which had grown to a number of emails per day, hoping she might accidentally see them.  I gave her Hinn's false prophecies.  She just kept coming back with rhetoric about how I didn't know what I was talking about.  She indicated she would not read the articles I sent. She finally told me she had decided to put up a page trying to prove I was wrong with my name on it, stating that I was a deceiver. So I believe it is time to bring this to public attention.  I do not want to throw any traffic her way because the DITC site has thousands of hits per week.  But I feel I do need to address her ridiculous assertions and mishandling of Scripture to try to defend a proven heretic and false prophet, Benny Hinn. Following is a refutation of her "facts" about what I have on my site, and about Hinn point by point.  This is not rocket science, folks.  What "BH2" has on this new web page, which is an abbreviation of her email address and how we will refer to her in the following, is quotes exactly from her site in Red.  My rebuttal is in Blue.  So here goes ...

(96) 'We Are All Children Of The One God'(?) - Benny Hinn Overlooks New Age Statement, Fails to Correct and Defend the Faith - Bud Press, Director, Christian Research Service, 10/24/04
For someone who claims to be a prophet of God, anointed teacher, healing evangelist and witness to personal visits from angels and Jesus Christ, Benny Hinn missed a golden opportunity to correct a guest and defend the Bible recently in front of millions of faithful viewers.

(97) Christian Research Service Issues A Challenge to the Officials and People of the Fiji Islands by Bud Press, Director, Christian Research Service, 12/05
Therefore, Christian Research Service issues the following challenge to the Fijian officials and people: Put Benny Hinn to the Biblical test (1 Thessalonians 5:21; 1 John 4:1). As a suggestion, once Hinn's plane lands in Fiji, Christian Research Service suggests that the Fijian officials immediately whisk him and his entourage away to the nearest hospital. If Hinn has the true, New Testament gift of healing, the bedridden and lame will walk; the diseased will be healed; the weak will be made strong; amputees will grow new limbs; children confined to wheelchairs with twisted bodies will be made whole; the suffering will find peace; the incurable will be miraculously cured; broken bodies will be mended; the blind will see; the deaf will hear; the dead will be raised to life. But if he fails the Biblical test, put him back on the plane!

(98) Letters About Benny Hinn In Fiji compiled by Bud Press, Director, Christian Research Service, 12/05
Mr. President, Benny Hinn's teachings and healing crusades are dangerous to the spiritual and physical welfare of believers worldwide. We love you and the people of Fiji, and pray that you and your staff will strongly consider canceling the January 2006 Benny Hinn crusade.

(99) ACT Letter To The Fiji Times About Benny Hinn
by Sandy Simpson, 1/3/05, Fiji Times Online, Voice of the People, Letters to the Editor, January 3, 2006
This invitation to Hinn is facilitated by a church coalition that is simply trying to further the "transformations" agenda to remake the world into the image of the false apostles and false prophets of the New Apostolic Reformation.

(100) Faith Healers Or Fake Healers by Rev. Keith Gibson, Forgotten Word Ministries, 1/06
The miracles of Christ and the apostles were real. The same cannot be said for Benny Hinn and others like him.

(101) Controversy In Fiji Over Benny Hinn Miracle Show by 2006 RadioNew Zealand International, 1/06
Fierce controversy has broken out in Fiji over what has been described as three days of a miracle crusade by the US pastor Benny Hinn.  (DITC Comment: Many apologists warned Fiji about this ahead of time!)

(102) Jacob Prasch Confronted Benny Hinn Before He Arrived In Fiji by Jacob Prasch, Moriel Ministries, Be Alert Newsletter, 1/31/06
On Thursday January 19, 2006 Jacob Prasch (JP) and Benny Hinn (BH) chanced to meet at 'Borders' a mega store near an airport in Hawaii. Jacob was alone with the Lord at his side. Benny Hinn had his body-guard and a friend, presumably on their way to or from Fiji.

(103) Benny Hinn's Prophetic Track Record by Jackie Alnor, Apostasy Alert, exerpt at Moriel Ministries, 2/06
It is hard to believe that anyone could take Hinn seriously with this pitiful track record of prognosticating.

(104) It Just Doesn't Add Up - Benny Hinn & Fiji by Steve Muse, Eastern Regional Watch, 3/6/06
It seems that Benny Hinn has not yet learned to appreciate the importance of crowd dynamics and the necessity for reporting accurate attendance numbers as he continues to promote and hold crusades worldwide.

Two news stories from Benny Hinn's recent crusade in Tobago show that he is up to his standard tricks there as well.  Check these two stories: Did Hinn Heal? by Trindad & Tobago's Newsday, May 23, 2006 and Give Money, God Will Bless You by SEAN DOUGLAS, Trinidad & Tobago's Newsday, May 23, 2006.  Hinn also made a prophecy/prediction that the crime rate would go down in Tobago.  We will be watching that prediction and reporting to you later on that outcome.

(108) An Open Letter to the People of London, England
Concerning the American Faith-Healer, Benny Hinn by Bud Press, Chrstian Research Service, 11/01/06
Christian Research Service, along with other discernment ministries here in the United States and overseas, has spent years conducting extensive research on Benny Hinn and his prophecies, teachings, and healing crusades. Please consider the following information prior to attending Hinn's conferences.

(109) Benny Hinn: A Simple Oversight-Sight, Perhaps? by Bud Press, Christian Research Service, 2/07
While watching Benny Hinn's January 26, 2007 This Is Your Day telecast (Archive Shows, London, England), I couldn't help but notice the small stuff, which can be easily overlooked during the emotional drama of Hinn's "healing" crusades.

(110) Videos exposing Benny Hinn on YouTube, 2007
A number of videos exposing Benny Hinn as a false teacher and false prophet.

(111) Benny Hinn in Kampala, Uganda - Was the 'crippled' man really healed? by Bud Press, Director, Christian Research Service, June 12, 2007
The situation with Moses is both sad and tragic. It not only serves as fuel for the skeptics and unbelievers to downplay Christianity, it serves to drive the unsaved deeper into sin and further away from accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Accordingly, a skeptic or unbeliever who witnessed the encounter between Benny Hinn and Moses may say, Benny Hinn proclaimed a "crippled" man healed, but the man continued to limp. If this is what Christianity is all about, then I want no part of it. The fact of the matter is that individuals like Benny Hinn have been around for thousands of years. They do not represent true Christianity. They are, as the Bible warns: savage wolves (Acts 20:27-31); distorters of the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:6-9); false brothers (Galatians 2:4-5); enemies of the cross (Philippians 3:18-19); stumbling blocks to those searching for truth (Matthew 18:7); false prophets (Matthew 24:11); false teachers (2 Timothy 4:3-4); false healers (Matthew 7:21-23); and more.

"I feel drained, let down and let's face it, I still can't walk."

(113) Pastor leaves $800K richer By Lou Robson, CourierMail, February 24, 2008
PROSPEROUS pastor Benny Hinn flew into Brisbane a multimillionaire. He left, 28 hours and three shows later, an estimated $800,000 richer.

(114) Why Benny Hinn Became Our Wacky Neighbor by John Bloom, The Door Magazine, 05/20/2008
Aside from his twice-monthly appearances at his own choreographed "crusades," held in the largest sports arenas on the planet, Hinn is a virtual recluse, surrounded by armies of bodyguards, ensconced in an $12 million oceanfront hacienda in southern California, traveling by private jet for "snorkeling vacations" in the Cayman Islands, staying in $10,800 per night presidential suites in Italy, a $15,000 per night suite in Greece, and claiming a level of financial secrecy and paranoid internal security that's more often associated with drug dealers than men of the cloth. By surrounding himself with yes-men and stage-managing every detail of his public image--even to the point of stiff-arming the occasional paparazzo who tries to photograph him--he has more in common with Michael Jackson than Jerry Falwell.

This page contains selected YouTube videos on Benny Hinn and others associated with the Word-Faith movement. It will be updated as new information is made available.

(116) Benny Hinn: "Methinks thou protest too loudly" - Who is willing to follow the blind leading the blind? by Mike Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, 12/5/08
If Hinn would live by his own words that he speaks accurately years apart (out of necessity) he may have avoided the controversy that has surrounded him all these years. But these are not words he keeps but only words he occasionally speaks.

(117) Lifestyles of the Wealthy and most famous evangelist - Benny Hinn's emergency letter by Mike Oppeneheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, 10/12/09
Legitimate needs in ministry are necessary to give the accurate gospel for people to be saved from their sin is what Jesus called people to spread. This is not what Hinn’s message is. If Hinn put his own teaching of giving to be blessed into action he would give away what he had to those in need. Considering his ministry takes in millions and millions of dollars. But it appears that it is better to receive than it is to give, especially when you are on the receiving end.

(118) Wife of televangelist Benny Hinn files for divorce by Gillian Flaccus, Associated Press Writer, Tampa Bay Online, 2/18/10
ORANGE, Calif. (AP) -- The wife of televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce from the high-profile pastor, whose reputation as an advocate of prosperity gospel has attracted millions of followers and criticism from lawmakers and watchdog groups over his lavish lifestyle.  Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County Superior Court on Feb. 1, citing irreconcilable differences, after more than 30 years of marriage. The papers note the two separated on Jan. 26 and that Hinn has been living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange County.

(119) Benny Hinn: That's Just the Way it is - for now by Mike Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries, 4/1/10
If Hinn is so anointed, as he has portrayed himself to the church over these many years, how can he miss something of this magnitude in his own life (the estrangment and divorce from his wife, Suzanne Hinn)? Makes you wonder what else is coming that Hinn does not know. Maybe we will eventually learn some details of what has really been taking place all along. Won’t we all be surprised!

(120) Benny Hinn: Video Proof He’s a Charlatan by Slaughter Of The Sheep, 4/30/10
The more things change, the more they stay the same.  You would think that if it were truly the Holy Spirit slaying people, they would not be able to stand under His power.  But if it’s only the power of suggestion they’re falling under, that power can suddenly be broken if you’re yanked up out of the floor and pushed off stage.

(125) One Simple Question for Benny Hinn and Paula White by Bud Press, Christian Research Service, 8/24/10
The two photos are dated July 13, 2010. As of this writing, thirty-seven (37)days have passed since the photos were published. One would think that if the photos were fabricated, both Hinn and White would have addressed the issue immediately, provided proof of fabrication, and put the issue to rest once and for all.

(126) Benny Hinn's 'Special Message' on the National Enquirer - Word-for word transcript by Bud Press, Christian Research Service, 8/24/10
The August 2, 2010 edition of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER published a two-page article on an alleged "Torrid Affair" between Benny Hinn and Paula White. The article included two photos of what appears to be Hinn and White holding hands while in Rome, Italy. Although Hinn and White issued written statements denouncing the article, the statements were removed from their websites. But both statements may be reviewed in their entirety at Apprising Ministries. The following is a partial word-for-word transcript of Benny Hinn's "Special Message" to his partners concerning the August 2, 2010 article in the NATIONAL ENQUIRER. Hinn's message was delivered during the July 30, 2010 crusade in Oakland, California ...

(127) The Heretic by John Bloom, Trinity Foundation, August 2003
Controversial televangelist and faith healer Benny Hinn came to Texas in 1999, abandoning his congregation in Florida to build a World Health Center in Irving. But Hinn—whose lifestyle more closely resembles Michael Jackson's than Jerry Falwell's—recently got word from on high to delay his plans for the theme park/New Age miracle spa. Thank God.

(128) Benny Hinn's Buckets 'O' Cash - Time to starve the money monster by Bud Press, Christian Research Service, February 12, 2011
It is estimated that Benny Hinn Ministries rakes in between $100 million to $200 million per year from his faithful followers. The amount of interest the money gathers in the bank(s) must be astounding.

(129) Publisher: Faith healer violated our morality clause by Rene Stutzman, The Orlando Sentinel February 17, 2011
SANFORD, Fla. -- A Lake Mary book publisher is suing televangelist and faith healer Benny Hinn, saying he violated a morality clause in their contract when he began an "inappropriate relationship" with another evangelist, and thus, must pay $250,000.

(130) Till Divorce Do Us Part by G.R. Fisher, 1/30/12
Oddly enough the city of Toronto also was both the breeding and launching ground for a young, jobless, high school drop-out and healer want-to-be, Mr. Benny Hinn. To paraphrase an old verse, “can anything spiritually good come out of Toronto?” What people have not caught onto yet is that if Benny Hinn and all the claimed healers over the last 100 or so years were legitimate the America’s health care crisis would have been over already. Benny-care would have replaced Obama care.  We would be the healthiest nation in the world. Hinn often stands in meetings and declares diseases healed, bondages broken and marriages made whole again. This is just play acting. Where is the statistical proof of this healing of health and home?  Hinn’s own marriage hit the skids - hard. He cannot work his alleged magic on himself. The little wizard behind the curtain has no real powers after all.

(131) Benny Hinn Remarriage Ceremony Canceled? by Michael Gryboski, Christian Post Reporter, 9/13/12
Evidence has begun to surface that Benny and Suzanne Hinn's much publicized remarriage may have been canceled, or at the very least postponed from its planned date of Friday, Oct. 26.

(132) Benny Hinn Asks Followers for $2.5 Million to Get Out of Debt by Stoyan Zaimov, Christian Post Reporter, 5/1/13
Televangelist Benny Hinn has asked supporters of his ministry for $2.5 million in donations, which he says an anonymous donor will match dollar by dollar to help him get out of debt.

(133) Liberty University Partnering With Benny Hinn? by Ken Silva, 4/4/14
Word Faith “healer” Benny Hinn also provided a video promoting this supposed partnership with Liberty University, from which the exclusive video clips to follow below were taken. Appearing with Hinn in the first clip are Dan Reber, Director of Liberty University Institute of Biblical Studies and Dr. Ronald Godwin, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs/Provost for Liberty University.

(134) Benny Hinn Ministries removes Web ads tied to Liberty University by The News And Advance, 4/11/14
umerous references to a supposed partnership between Benny Hinn Ministries and Liberty University have been removed from the Benny Hinn Ministries website. After being alerted that the evangelist was claiming to have a partnership with LU, school officials issued Benny Hinn Ministries a cease-and-desist order April 4 citing its unauthorized use of the university’s trademark and intellectual property.

(135) The Five Most Disturbing Things About A Benny Hinn Miracle Service by Corrie Mitchell, 12/12/14
There are a lot of things you should try at least once in your life — skydiving, eating some exotic delicacy, traveling alone. Let me give you one thing not to add to that list: attending a Benny Hinn Holy Spirit Miracle Service.

New Sandy Simpson Messages
on CD & DVD

NEW!
Karma (by any other name)
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

According to Wikipedia:

"Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual.  Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.  Karma is closely associated with the idea of rebirth in some schools of Asian religions.  In these schools, karma in the present affects one's future in the current life, as well as the nature and quality of future lives - or, one's samsara. With origins in ancient India, it is a key concept in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Taoism, Shintoism, Ching Hai and others."(emphasis mine)

Mirram-Webster defines it this way:

the force created by a person's actions that is believed in Hinduism and Buddhism to determine what that person's next life will be like: the force created by a person's actions that some people believe causes good or bad things to happen to that person

Given the definitions of "karma" above, this same idea, usually without the reincarnation aspect in Christian circles, has been taught for decades in New Thought movements such as the Positive Thinking/Positive Confession teachings of Norman Vincent Peale & Robert Schuller, the Word of Faith ideas of Essex Kenyan, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn, the mixture of Eastern Mysticism and Christianity by Korean false teachers such as the "force of faith" Paul Yongii Cho, and newer renditions and fusions by people like Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, T.D. Jakes (recently agreeing with Oprah Winfrey who teaches karma on her WHO network), and others such as Ernest Angley, John Bevere, Markus Bishop, Juanita Bynum, Morris Cerullo, Kim Clement, Paul Crouch, Creflo Dollar, Jesse Duplantis, Marilyn Hickey, Brian Houston, Rodney Howard-Browne, Larry Huch, Bishop Eddie L. Long, Clarence McClendon, Joyce Meyer, Myles Munroe, Steve Munsey, Mike Murdock, Rod Parsley, Peter Popoff, Fred Price, Oral Roberts, R.W. Shambach, Robert Schuller, Karl Strader, Robert Tilton, Paula White, Ed Young and many others.

His Name, The Only Name
by Sandy Simpson

This DVD is a message based on this article.

Zechariah 14:9 NIV The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.

The reason I wrote this article based on Zech 14:9 is that I was reminded of how many so-called Christians, who are influential in the churches, are promoting the worship of God in the names of other gods.
