Great Discernment Tools!
The Ugly Side of Diaprax
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
There has been a concerted effort by the false teachers
from many movements inside the church such as Word of Faith, New Apostolic
Reformation (NAR)/Latter Rain, World Gathering on Indigenous People and
Emerging Church among others to diaprax people into thinking that the church
has been ineffective until they came along with their new and improved
ideas on how to take over the world. This is always a feature of
the Hegelian Dialectical process put into action by praxis, thus diaprax.
In order to form a new paradigm or worldview the leadership of these movements
must vilify orthodox Biblical Christianity.

Healer?
Heal Thyself!
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
A good subtitle for this article might be "Practice What
You Preach!" There is no doubt that God can and does heal people
today. But the false doctrines of the Word-Faith Movement about "declaring"
healing, "name-it-and-claim-it", etc. have been proven to be lies by the
very people who sell this deceit. If you don't know about where these
famous "faith healers" go when they need healing, you may be surprised.
Why couldn't they heal themselves when they purported to be able to heal
others by virtue of their superior faith? What happened to the extraordinary
faith they claimed to have, enough faith to heal and be healed? Since
they are the ones who taught that all you have to do is claim the healing
that is in the Atonement (Is. 53:5) why did they not do so? Don't
their deaths prove that what they were preaching was a lie and pragmatic
witchcraft rather than biblical relality?

God’s Attitude toward the “Supreme Beings”
of the Nations
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
It is quite clear from Scripture that YHWH does NOT consider
the “supreme beings” of the nations to be Himself, the One True God.
This is in opposition to the teachings of Don Richardson, Daniel Kikawa,
Richard Twiss and many others promoting the World Christian Gathering of
Indigenous People movement, Emergent Church and Liberal theologies.
I have proven this time and time again in my articles on the subject but
I am going to consolidate the information from the Bible in this article
by studying the false gods named in the Bible. I am sure I will not
be able to cover every instance of supreme beings mentioned in the Bible
but I (1) want to deal with some of the major ones (2) show you where they
are found in the Word, and (3) prove that they were the “supreme beings”
of those nations named by the patriarchs, prophets and Apostles and that
they were not monotheistic gods but polytheistic in the tradition of Babel
where the false religion of polytheism first took root through the worship
of Nimrod and Semiramis.

You need to "nip it in the bud"!
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I am writing this article to address a subject that
I have often observed. It is the fact that if you do not get the
leaven out of your church the leaven will become the leadership. The Bible
teaches quite clearly that if you let the leaven in you will leaven the
whole lump.
Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leavens the whole
lump of dough.
We see this often in the case of many “Christian”
movements that have allowed a small error to exist in their churches and
have not dealt with those issues. It then ends up metastasizing into
worse and worse problems as time goes by.

The New Panentheistic "God" Of Christendom
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Now, I bet you read the title of this article and thought
I had misspelled the word "pantheism". Just so that those of you
who write to me advising me of words I have misspelled in articles (and
I do often) I want to tell you that I am using the term "panentheism" as
coined by Karl C. F. Krause. You can read more about this word and
concept in an excellent book called "A
Time Of Departing" by Ray Yungen.
There is a new "God" being promoted in the Third Wave,
New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and Word of Faith movements whose teachers
are regularly seen on TBN, Daystar, SkyAngel, CBN and other "Christian"
TV networks. Some of those teachers even have, what would be considered,
a fairly typical statement of faith or doctrinal statement they endorse.
But by what they teach they end up promoting a false unbiblical view of
God, especially through their actions and experiences. The whole
phenomenon of "slain in the spirit" and all the antics that go with it
are brainwashing an entire generation of Christians to put their faith
in another Jesus, another Spirit, another Gospel. This new "Jesus"
and "Holy Spirit" is clearly pantheistic or panentheistic in nature.
Though some of these teachers would claim to be believing in the God who
is One God in Three Persons, by what they teach they deny the very revealed
character of God from Scripture.

What Should I Say?
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
booklet.
How do you answer an invitation to attend a meeting where
you know nothing about the speaker or what will be done there? What happens
if they want to announce the meeting at your church and invite everyone?
What do you say to a person who tells you that you don’t have the Holy
Spirit even though you are a Christian? What should you do if you think
something is wrong, or your conscience is bothering you about something
that was said or done? The answer?
Go to the Scriptures!
The Bible has all the answers to your questions. This
little booklet is an attempt to deal with a few of the typical statements
you will hear from people who have become involved in the Third Wave revival
movement. By “Third Wave” I am referring to teachers, “prophets” and any
meeting associated with the Toronto “Blessing”, Brownsville Assemblies
of God, Rodney Howard-Browne, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Rod Parsley,
Marilyn Hickey, Joyce Meyers, Bethel Church, Lakeland and many others who
appear on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and the 700 Club on TV.
Hopefully the statements and answers in this booklet will
set you off on an investigation of your own in the Word. If you need help,
and you have access to the Internet, you can visit my web site called “Deception
In The Church” that deals with these issues and has the articles mentioned
in this booklet.

Luring People To Destruction
By The Unscrupulous Use Of The "Gospel"
Message
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Phil. 1:14-18 Because of
my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak
the word of God more courageously and fearlessly. It is true that
some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.
The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of
the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely,
supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But
what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether
from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,
If you see what I see in this passage, this argument cannot
be used for people like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and the hundreds,
even thousands of Third Wave ministers today who are not merely envious
and self ambitious, but are also teaching outright false doctrine. Paul
was not talking about heretics in this statement, but "brothers in the
Lord" who preach the Gospel with wrong motives. Third Wave teachers not
only have wrong motives, they also have the wrong message. This argument
cannot be used for people like Hinn, even if they manage to preach enough
of the "Gospel" for people to come to a saving knowledge of the Lord, because
they are also teaching and practicing heresy.

Attack Of The Enemy
On The Churches
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
So much heresy is entering the churches these days.
As you would suspect, sometimes it is due to a pastor attending a conference
or reading a book and becoming diapraxed with unbiblical ideas. He
then starts to weave those ideas into his messages and begins to invite
speakers to the church who expound on those ideas. Then when confronted
by someone in the church who has reservations about the new stuff being
taught, they are told to not talk about it and just go along with the program.
If that person does not they are ostracized, slander behind their back,
and often told to leave (which is what they should do in any case).
But my observation is that it is not only the pastor who
causes unbiblical changes to influence a church. Often the pastor
is blissfully unaware of influences coming into his church. They
often come in through (1) the worship team (2) women’s groups (3) bookstore
(4) children’s programs (5) interdenominational prayer efforts and (6)
relief and mission organizations. If unchecked this type of infiltration
is much more subtle and can become deeply rooted.

Marks Of False Religion
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive
through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men,
according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according
to Christ.
In context Paul is especially addressing, though perhaps
not to the exclusion of other false religion, what had become the false
religion of the Pharisees and Jewish leadership. There were many
Jewish so-called “Christians” making the rounds among the fledgling early
churches who were trying to get the Gentiles to come under the Law from
which Christ had purchased their freedom. John Gill states this case
well in his commentary.

Universalism in the World
has Permeated the Church
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
The current fad of interfaith solidarity and unity
is simply a thin guise of inclusivism, Universalism and pluralism.
Universalism is defined by Dictionary.com as: The doctrine
that emphasizes the universal fatherhood of God and the final salvation
of all souls. (Source)
Universalism is a religion and theology that generally holds all persons
and creatures are related to God or the divine and will be reconciled to
God. (Source)
Pluralism is defined as: The doctrine that reality
is composed of many ultimate substances. … The belief that no single
explanatory system or view of reality can account for all the phenomena
of life. (American Heritage Dictionary, (Source)
Inclusivism is: "Inclusivism posits that even though
the work of Christ is the only means of salvation, it does not follow that
explicit knowledge of Christ is necessary in order for one to be saved.
In contrast to pluralism, inclusivism agrees with exclusivism in affirming
the particularity of salvation in Jesus Christ. But unlike exclusivism,
inclusivism holds that an implicit faith response to general revelation
can be salvific. God expects from man a response proportional to the light
given. Saving faith is not characterized so much by its cognitive content
as it is by its reverent quality." (Ken Keathley, None Dare Call It Treason:
Is an Inclusivist a Paul Revere or a Benedict Arnold? (Ken Keathley, Assistant
Professor of Theology and Philosophy New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary,
(Source)
We deal with these old heresies brought forward to
modernity, these ideas that all men have have a relationship with God that
will cause them to be able to avoid judgement in our book on the teachings
of the World Gathering on Indigenous People movement called “Idolatry
In Their Hearts”. The idea that all men who worship a “god” are
worshipping the true God, YHWH, has bubbled up to the very top of our societies
and religions, and even Christendoom, and should sound a warning alarm
to true Biblical Christianity. Instead, as usual in our day, most
Christians are asleep at the wheel while Universalists claim that you can
pray to a “god” like Allah and be praying to the true Trinue God, YHWH.
I also dealt with the fact that Allah is not YHWH, both in our book and
in the article “Is Allah The Same As YHWH?”.

What We Need Is A Reverse Paradigm Shift!
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I'm going to warn you now. I am going to let you
in on some information tonight that is going to radically change your world
view. You are likely going to experience the beginnings of a reverse
paradigm shift and after tonight there will be no way to go back the way
you came. You will be faced with choices that you may never have
known you had. You will be faced with a new way of looking at things
that is going to cause you to rethink everything that is being taught in
the Emerging Latter Rain churches. It is going to be radical because
the basis for this message doesn't come from Jesus Christ visiting my room
last night bodily, but from His holy written Word. So buckle down
your seat belts, you're likely in for a bumpy ride!
Matt. 7:15-23 "Watch out for false
prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious
wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from
thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good
fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good
fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will
recognize them. "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter
the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is
in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy
in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

False Teachers Revisited
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I often receive requests to present updated false teachings
and false prophecies by the myriad of heretics out there. We do try
to keep up with all the latest. But I have to remind people that
those we have exposed as false on our site have not repented of what they
have already done in the past, which is why they are still on our site.
So what they are doing now has no relevance as to whether or not they are
now to be considered a true Biblical teacher. If and when they repent,
that is renounce their false teachings and false prophecies, make restitution
to those they have deceived, and begin to teach sound Biblical doctrine
we will give you that information. As of now NONE of the people we
have exposed have repented of their Latter Rain, Word of Faith teachings,
heretical practices or their false prophecies. But in the interest
of helping you to respond to a person who inquires by saying: "Those articles
are old and you need newer materials" well, here is some newer stuff you
can add to the pile. For you and me this really makes no difference,
but for those who are living in deception perhaps it might demolish one
of their arguments against the truth.

Testing The Spirits
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Sometimes I really wonder why someone who claims to be
a Bible believing pastor, for instance, refuses to listen to the truth.
It frankly boggles my mind. I don't know if it is as a result of
the postmodern paradigm or just that they have no love of the truth left.
I don't know how that can happen in a truly regenerate person. You
would think that the Holy Spirit would confirm the truth to them, first
in their conscience, and finally through the written Word. But these
days it is a miracle if it gets that far. I don't know if their conscience
has been so seared that they don't hear the Spirit or if they just don't
want to know the truth because then they would be responsible for it.
I know that I cannot know their motives or the reasons why they reject
truth and refuse to talk about false teaching, but I do know one thing:
we are called as true believers to test the spirits. We must do this
even if the result is not to our liking or befuddles us as to the reasons.
1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not
believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from
God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Questions for Those Who Claim the "Supreme
Beings"
Of the Nations Are the True God
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I have some questions for those of the World Christian
Gathering of Indigenous People (WCGIP) adherents such as Don Richardson,
Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss (deceased), Terry LeBlanc, Danny Lehman, Aloha
Ke Akua, YWAM as well as many in the Emergent Church (EC) ... the questions
arise from their claim that the "supreme beings" of the nations are all
the True God, YHWH, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You can
read more on this subject in our book "Idolatry
In Their Hearts" or in the WCGIP
section of my site. My main question for them is this: When did ANY of
the Patriarchs and Prophets in the Old Testament and the Apostles or Jesus
Christ in the New Testament EVER claim that the "supreme beings" of the
nations were Elohim/YHWH, the one True God? Let's look at some examples
in the form of questions and you can check out the source links as well.

How To Discern, Test & Judge Rightly
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
In running a web site with
thousands of articles, 1-2 million hits per month from all over the world,
and hundreds of e-mails per week, I have come to realize, with time, that
there is a terrible problem in Christendom today. The problem stems from
an existential subjective view of the world that has filtered into the
church from secular society, but also from the teachings of heretical wolves
who have taught an entire generation of churchgoers completely unbiblical
methods of discernment or to get rid of any discernment altogether.

We need a firm foundation to weather the
storm of false ideas
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye
do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (KJV)
Matthew 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words
of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house
on the rock.
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent word!
© 1787 Joseph Funk & Robert Keene
A house built on the rock will stand. The Rock is
God and in particular, Jesus Christ. Therefore His written Word is
the teachings of the His Holy Spirit and a Rock we can depend on.
Anyone who wants to prove anything theologically, historically, scientifically
or anything else needs to start with correct information. If you
start with a faulty foundation, as you build your arguments, they begin
to fall apart because they are not supported in God"s truth. If you
want to build on a firm foundation, you need to start the process by a
careful study of God"s Word in context of the verse and according to the
whole counsel of God"s Word. The Bible is the best commentary on
the Bible.

Karma (by any other name)
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
According to Wikipedia:
"Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to
the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence
the future of that individual. Good intent and good deed contribute
to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute
to bad karma and future suffering. Karma is closely associated with
the idea of rebirth in some schools of Asian religions. In these
schools, karma in the present affects one's future in the current life,
as well as the nature and quality of future lives - or, one's samsara.
With origins in ancient India, it is a key concept in Hinduism, Buddhism,
Jainism, Sikhism, Taoism, Shintoism, Ching Hai and others."(emphasis mine)
Mirram-Webster defines it this way:
the force created by a person's actions that is believed
in Hinduism and Buddhism to determine what that person's next life will
be like: the force created by a person's actions that some people believe
causes good or bad things to happen to that person
Given the definitions of "karma" above, this same idea,
usually without the reincarnation aspect in Christian circles, has been
taught for decades in New Thought movements such as the Positive Thinking/Positive
Confession teachings of Norman Vincent Peale & Robert
Schuller, the Word of Faith ideas of Essex Kenyan, Kenneth
Hagin, Kenneth
Copeland and Benny
Hinn, the mixture of Eastern Mysticism and Christianity by Korean false
teachers such as the "force of faith" Paul
Yongii Cho, and newer renditions and fusions by people like Joel

Replacement Theology On Steroids
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
So, as you can see, the root of this teaching is that
Israel no longer holds the distinction of being the tree from which the
Root of David (Jesus-Rev. 5:5, 22:16) came. They are no longer the
"natural branches" (Israel-Rom. 11:21) on to which Gentile Christianity
(the wild shoots-Rom. 11:17 or wild branches-Rom. 11:24) are grafted in
(Rom. 11:17-24). According to Replacement Theology, Christianity
has now become its own branch apart from Israel (the natural branch) that
produced the Root and all the promises of the Bible to Israel have been
taken away from them and given to the Gentile Church. This is why
you hear so many false teachers taking verses out of context from the Old
Testament and willy-nilly applying them to the Gentile Church. This
methodology has been going on for decades in liberal churches and has been
popularized by many false teachers on TV. But the fact is that Replacement
Theology is utter false doctrine. It denies promises made to Israel,
some of which have already been fulfilled and some which are yet to come
to fruition. But when you add the fact that the Inclusivist WCGIP proponents
are now saying that God planted hundreds of different trees, cultures all
over the world, that are not connected to the natural branch, tree and
Root, you have what can only be termed Replacement Theology on steroids!

Those Who Do Not Lead Christians to Maturity
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
The Scriptural definition of maturity is to learn to discern
truth from error so that the Christian will no longer be double minded,
blown about by every wind of teaching and by the schemes of crafty people.
But the problem today is that so few Christian teachers are feeding their
flock's solid food. They are serving up milk and, because of that,
people are starving. Yet they often don't even know they have been on a
starvation diet. Amos 8:11 "The days are coming," declares the
Sovereign Lord, "when I will send a famine through the land - not
a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words
of the Lord."

"... and all liars"
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
Lying is a problem for all people (Ps. 116:11).
We are all sinners (Rom. 3:23). Those of us who are Christians are
"sinners saved by grace" (Eph. 2:8) indwelt by the Holy Spirit in our "new
self" (Col. 3:10). But we still live in our "old self" which we must "put
off" (Eph. 4:20-25) by taking up our cross daily and following Christ (Luke
9:23). The difference between unbelievers and those who are truly
born again is that believers no longer "practice sin" (1 John 3:9, see
my Bible study on 1 John!) They have the indwelling Holy Spirit (Rom.
8:11) who convicts them when they lie (John 16:8). True believers then
repent (1 John 1:9) and go on to "practice righteousness" (1 John 2:29)
with the Lord's help. The unregenerate, the false brothers, or those
who have fallen away (Gal. 5:4, Mark 4:17), practice lying. They
practice a lifestyle of lying because their consciences are seared (1 Tim.
4:2) and the Holy Spirit, when convicting them, cannot break through the
hardness of their unrepentant hearts (Eph. 4:17-19, Heb. 3:13).

Four Books That the Enemy Has Used To Corrupt
Christianity
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
The four books that have changed the church by giving
an introduction to the false teachings of the New Apostolic/Latter Rain
(NAR), the Emerging Church/Contemplative/Catholic Mysticism (EC), pragmatic
Church Growth (CG) methodologies of C. Peter Wagner, Robert Schuller and
Peter Drucker, and the teachings of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous
People (WCGIP) are as follows:
Surprised by the Power of the Spirit by Jack Deer, Celebration
of Discipline by Richard Foster, Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren &
Etnerity In Their Hearts by Don Richardson.
These four books were widely read by Christians
from virtually every denominational background before their ramifications
and the movements they would spawn were known. They lay error alongside
truth so were considered not to be a threat to churches. Therefore
these books then became part of the consciousness of many Christians and
churches, thereby laying the basis for the introduction of the modern day
false teachings of the NAR, EC, CG and WCGIP that have become part of the
landscape of Christendom today.

Night Marchers and UFOs on the Big Island
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
With the resurgence of the old religion of Hawaii and
the continual invocation of Pelé and other "deities" for years in
the secular culture and even in churches with regards to worshipping 'Io,
is it any wonder that those beings are beginning to manifest again?
In a story called "Night
Marchers" on the Kawaihae site and in a YouTube
video on the same subject, eyewitnesses claim all kinds of sightings
that they think are the warriors, ancestors and demi-gods of Hawaii coming
back. Interestingly the
first book the Hawaiian Heritage site recommends in its "Suggested
Reading" list is "Perpetuated
in Righteousness" by Daniel Kikawa that we reviewed in our book "Idolatry
In Their Hearts" by Sandy Simpson and Mike Oppenheimer. Since Kikawa
claims that 'Io is the True God and one that the Hawaiians worshipped in
secret, we have to wonder if Kikawa also thinks 'Io is showing up in these
night marches? Since YWAM, Aloha Ke Akua and Hilo New Hope participated
in worshipping 'Io at the "edge of Hale-ma'uma'u Crater" it sounds like
they have all been inviting the old "gods" to return to Hawaii.

"They Will Believe
The Lie"
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I am doing a Bible study right now on what I would call
"renewing our minds". It is based on this verse:
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able
to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect
will.
The only way to renew our minds is to believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, confess our sins, and be saved, then to study the written
Word and allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach us. Our minds
are corrupted by virtue of the sin nature and what we have learned in life
because our filters are off. I gave an illustration of straining coconut
to make coconut milk. If you use a 1 inch screen everything will
pass through. Even if you use a quarter inch screen you will get
mostly coconut meat in your milk. You have to use a fine screen in
order to separate the milk from the leftover. Our filters are off
and the first thing God begins to do is correct our worldview, because
if your worldview is off you will not understand God's reality. We
need to learn to see things from His perspective. This is why I started
this study by going back to an original problem.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one
will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays
of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the
ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because
they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends
them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so
that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted
in wickedness.
This has always been an interesting passage to me for
a few different reasons. What is "the lie" that is talked about here
in verse 9 and 11? What are the ways that "wickedness deceives those
who are perishing" and how long has this been going on or does this only
begin to happen at the coming of the lawless one? In what way does
"the lie" cause those who do not believe the truth to "delight in wickedness"?

The First Nations Movement
Deceiving The Nations!
4-DVD Series
Critical Missiological Issue!
The "Indigenous People's" (IPM) or "First Nations" movement
is an unbiblical movement teaching heresies and doctrines of demons. It
is being spread worldwide by YWAM, Don Richardson, John Dawson, Richard
Twiss, Terry LeBlanc, Daniel Kikawa and many other adherents. The
IPM or World Christian Gathering On Indigenous People is full of the false
teachings of the Third Wave, New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), Word-Faith,
Dominionism, Latter Rain and many other false theological systems.
But it does have it's own distinctives that are driven by the works of
Daniel Kikawa, Richard Twiss, and Don Richardson in particular. They
are teaching Christians to "redeem" their cultures by worshipping their
former gods, pretending they are YHWH.

"Christians" Who Try To Poke Holes In Sola
Scriptura
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this article: "Christians"
Who Try To Poke Holes In Sola Scriptura
There are a number of the leadership of the Emerging
Church (EC) who do not believe that the Bible is the highest authority
for the Christian faith. Most do not believe that the Bible is inerrant
in the original manuscripts and many do not acknowledge that the Bible
is our highest revelation. Yet this is a core doctrine over which
true believers and false brethren must separate. Those who try to poke
holes in Sola Scriptura make excuses like (1) we need to reinterpret the
Bible through the lens of postmodern culture and religion (2) the Bible
never uses the words "Sola Scriptura" therefore it is not a Biblical concept
(3) there is new revelation for the church through the Holy Spirit apart
from what is written and the precepts of the Bible and (4) the Bible just
doesn't address our postmodern situation therefore we cannot rely on it
for the truth and answers for our problems today. I will prove that
all the above arguments, and more, from EC leaders and others is exactly
what they are teaching. I will give you quotes from their teachings,
videos and books. The postmodern church and its "movements" are abandoning
Sola Scriptura in their rush to be like the Roman Catholic Church, which
takes its authority from a mix of Scripture and tradition.
"As a result the Church, to whom the transmission and
interpretation of Revelation is entrusted, "does not derive her certainty
about all revealed truths from the holy Scriptures alone. Both Scripture
and Tradition must be accepted and honored with EQUAL sentiments of devotion
and reverence." (Roman Catholic Catechism, Given October 11, 1992, the
thirtieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council,
in the fourteenth year of my Pontificate. Page 31).

The Question Of Dominion
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this article: The
Question Of Dominion.
I am writing this article as an apologetic against
the Third Wave, Latter Rain, Word of Faith and Reformed Theology teachings
that the Church is to rise up and take over the systems of government,
businesses and every other aspect of life. "See, the problem is, is that
Satan has had too much of his way in our society because he has a government!
And the only way to overthrow a government is with a government.
It won't happen otherwise. So therefore the government of the church
has to get into place in the extended church just like we do have it very
well in place, we haven't reached our goal yet ..." (Transcript of
C. Peter Wagner, Arise Prophetic Conference, Gateway Church, San Jose,
CA, 10-10-2004) Wagner has substituted the "government of the church" for
the coming government of Jesus Christ in the Millennial Kingdom.
Wagner is "Kingdom Now" while the Bible teaches "Kingdom Come". What I
wanted to do with this article is put the issue of dominion to rest by
studying the definition the Bible gives to dominion and ruling authority.
When we look at the subject we can easily ascertain what is going on today
and what God requires of the Church.

Shepherd Or Hireling?
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on the article: "Shepherd
Or Hireling?"
The Bible lays out the definitions of both an overseer
(under shepherd) and a hireling. John 10:11-13 I am the good
shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that
is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth
the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth
them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling,
and careth not for the sheep. (KJV) 1 Tim. 3:1-3 Here
is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,
he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband
of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able
to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome,
not a lover of money. (NIV) Titus 1:7-13 Since an overseer
is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless, not overbearing, not
quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest
gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is
self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to
the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage
others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. For there are
many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of
the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are ruining
whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach - and that
for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one of their own prophets has said,
"Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." This testimony
is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in
the faith. (NIV) A hireling does not really care about being a watchman,
but is more concerned with protecting his reputation, position and income.
A true watchman will guard the flock against wolves from within (Acts 20:30)
and without (Acts 20:29) no matter the cost to his reputation, position
or income. Following is a little quiz you can take to see if you are a
true Biblical under shepherd as a leader in your church, are becoming a
hireling, or are one now.

Testing Music In The Church
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on these articles: Testing
Music In The Church, Testing
Music In The Church-Part 2, and Worship
Song Ratings.
Too many churches today are allowing music to be used
in their services that is not glorifying to the Lord and can actually be
a hindrance to the teaching of sound doctrine. Pastors and leaders should
be using their leadership role to test what is being played and sung in
their churches. Though some are quick to test preaching and teaching from
their pulpits, many ignore the music being used in the same services. This
is a tragic mistake. Music is a powerful medium. It is something that effects
deeply the body, mind and emotions. It is a proven fact that music often
stays with a person far longer than what is taught or preached. Songs roam
around in our heads, especially if the melody appeals to us. What is often
overlooked is the serious impression music makes on people, and the teaching
they are getting over and over again as they allow the song to repeat in
their minds and on their lips. Music teaches things much more subtly yet
sometimes far more effectively. That's why the lyrical content of music
in the church, as well as its effect on the spiritual lives of those who
perform and listen, should be vigorously examined by the leaders of the
church. This is a 2-DVD set.

Examine Yourselves & Hold On!
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on the articles "Examine
Yourself To See If You Are In The Faith" and "Hold
On!"
2 Cor. 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether
you are in the faith; test yourselves.
Do you not realise that Christ Jesus is in you - unless,
of course, you fail the test?
People who call themselves followers of Christ or "Christians"
and claim they are born again must believe certain things. If they
do not then they fail the test of faith. They can claim they are
born again all they want and "once saved, always saved" but if they fail
the test of faith there is no eternal security. Only God knows who
will be saved, from beginning to end, because of His foreknowledge and
omniscience (Rom. 8:29, 1 Pet. 1:2). God did not make an arbitrary
judgment about who would be saved and who would not. His Spirit is
given to those He foreknew, when convicted of sin by His Holy Spirit, would
choose to believe and commit themselves to Jesus Christ. We are not
God and we do not have His omniscience. Therefore, according to Paul,
we must be sure our belief system is in the right place once our eyes have
been opened to the Truth. I am not saying we do not have assurance
of salvation, but our assurance comes not only because of His Atonement
and promises of salvation but from our continuing in the Faith, which is
always the Biblical criteria. Those who would be Bible teachers must teach
according to the whole counsel of God's Word. Let me be clear. There
is only one way to salvation. That is by grace alone through
faith alone in Christ alone. I will deal with a few of those issues
following, but it is important to recognize that being saved is not just
a matter of believing that Jesus lived, or that He was a man, or simply
giving mental ascent to His existence in whatever form.

"Blasphemizing" The Bible
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I am going to go over an article I wrote back in 2006
in preparation for the book I wrote with Mike Oppenheimer called 'Idolatry
in Their Hearts'. This book is an apologetic against the false teachings
of the World Christian Gathering on Indigenous People movement, the Emerging
Church and the New Apostolic Reformation which got their ideas from the
book "Eternity in Their Hearts" by Don Richardson. At the time that
book came out no one really saw the dangerous ideas Richardson was promoting.
All they would have had to do was look at the two subtitles of that book
to understand the implications. The first subtitle in the 1981 edition
read: The Untold Story of Christianity among Folk Religions of Ancient
People. Those who read this book found some interesting cross-cultural
ideas but apparently missed the false premise of the book starting with
the subtitle. How could Christianity be "among folk religions" where the
Gospel had not been preached (Rom. 10:14-15)? At that time Christians who
read the book were apparently satisfied that, though there was some questionable
material present, it made for an interesting discussion on how to do cross-cultural
ministry. The subtitle it has today, which was first published in 1984,
is as follows: Startling Evidence of Belief in the One True God in Hundreds
of Cultures Throughout the World. This should have been a red flag
for many Christians but then, who reads subtitles? But how could
the "One True God" be known to Gentiles who did "not know God".

Resources For Pastors
including
"Good English Bible Translations"
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
I was talking with a pastor after a Wednesday night service
and he mentioned that I said I had done an article comparing English Bible
translations. He called me up later and asked me to come back and
present the contents of that article I sent out in about 2002 to my mailing
list for the Pacific Waves Newsletter which, unfortunately, I can no longer
afford to publish and mail. However an archive of past issues of
that newsletter can be found here.
In that article I detailed a number of good and bad resources for pastors
including Bible translations, concordances, commentaries, Bible dictionaries,
etc. I present an edited version of part of that article on this
DVD, particularly dealing with English Translations of the Bible.
Translation is a very detailed endeavor and should only be undertaken by
those with a proper education in that subject and a sound doctrinal background.
I read a few books on that subject and it helped me understand the complexities
involved. Hebrew is a rich language so it is hard to distill one
Hebrew word down to one English word. Greek is a very technical language
and it is also not easy to translate. This is why it is imperative
to use the good English translations out there for comparison along with
a good concordance and Bible dictionary.

A TALE OF TWO KINGDOMS
Kingdom Now or Kingdom Come?
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
There are two kingdoms being taught in many churches today.
Teaching about one of the kingdoms is on the decline while the other is
being promoted all over the place. I am warning Christians that they
need to check out who is using the word "kingdom", the books they have
been reading and recommend on building "the kingdom", the people they have
been hanging out with at conferences, and what they mean by "the kingdom".

many false ideas people cling to without giving a thought to what the Bible
has to say on the subject.

From Church To Emerging Church DVD Series
by Sandy Simpson
The issue of the Emerging Church and it's introduction
into many churches and mission organizations has reached a critical point.
Many do not undersand what is being leavened into churches by the EC leadership.
Many would be shocked to know their belief systems involve Universalism,
New Age, defense of postmodernism, Interfaithism, and many other false
doctrines. In order to reach out to this generation the EC leadership
is proposing a whole new "map" to deal with what they perceive is a lack
of understanding on the part of the churches on how to communicate.
EC proponants believe the "scripture" for today is evolving and must change
in order to reach postmoderns.

Idolatry In Their Hearts
Landmark Book!
by Sandy Simpson & Mike
Oppenheimer
Does having eternity in your heart mean that you know
God and are His child? Could Gentile cultures understand the Gospel from
the stars? Did God create man's cultures? Has God always been in the process
of redeeming cultures from the time of Babel by placing in them a true
revelation of Himself? Is there the worship of YHWH in all cultures and
religions through the names of supreme beings? Have all cultures
always had a way to make things right between them and God? These questions
and many more are answered in this book that addresses the false teachings
of The New Apostolic Reformation regarding missiological methods as being
carried out by many agencies including the World Christian Gathering on
Indigenous People, YWAM, and many Bible societies.

Lessons In Forgiveness
Great Study!
by Sandy Simpson
Through the years I have been
presented with many opportunities to forgive. Sometimes the situation was
so severe that it took me some time to forgive and start the process of
healing for myself, and eventually for others. I learned that a Christian
needs to forgive other people even if they have not repented of their sins.
That can be really hard if we let it be hard. But if we give our burdens
over to the Lord, He will carry them and that frees us up to treat other
people with love, compassion, and be in the right frame of mind and heart
to set them up for reconciliation with Jesus Christ. That does not mean
we tolerate their sin. We simply forgive them for what they have done to
us, whether perceived or real, and move on to looking for ways to redeem
them. We can then present to them the "truth in love" even when we have
to rebuke them.

Spiritual Authority:
The Word And The Testimony by A.W. Tozer,
1950
Read this devotional thought, written around
a half century ago, for the reason we should continue to say today "to
the word and to the testimony"! "But there were false prophets
also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies ..." 2 Pet. 2:1
(2) False
Prophecy by Dean & Laura VanDruff, 1996
"As spiritual adultery increases in the church, false prophets will
flourish as highly sought after speakers, and as Christians accept more
of these false teachings indiscriminately, many will fall away, believing
in a phony "faith". Since we have been warned, it might be wise to seek
insight into how to discern false prophecy - what are false prophets likely
to say? What are they like?"
(3) The Kansas
City Prophets by Bob Hunter, 1995
An expose' of the Kansas City Prophets including Paul Cain, Bob Jones,
John Paul Jackson and other false prophets. Their prophesies catapulted
the Toronto "Blessing" and subsequent Pensacola "Outpouring" into existence.
These men are revered as prophets by these movements who view themselves
as Joel's Army.
(4) False
Prophets by Dr. Kenneth Johnson, 1994
"When a false prophet is caught he will say “OK. But I’ve repented
and the LORD has restored me to the office of the prophet or ‘The Prophetic’.
You have to obey me again now.” This is why the LORD said you shall never
be afraid of (listen to) him again. Yes, the LORD will forgive him if he
repents. He may become a fine Bible teacher. The LORD is merciful, so that
you will not be constantly fooled by false prophets, Because He will never
use him in that way again. "
(5) John
Kilpatrick Of Brownsville AOG, Pensacola, FL Is Now OFFICIALLY A False
Prophet!
July 4, 1997 has come and gone and Hank Hanegraaff
is still alive and his ministry is doing fine. Here
is how Hanegraaff responded to this ugly false prophecy. Brothers and sisters
in Christ -- now is the time to decide. For those of you attending Brownsville
"Outpouring" meetings in Pensacola ... are you going to continue to willingly
sit under the teaching and prophecy of this man in this church or allow
people under your accountability to do so? Is the Assemblies of God going
to take scripturally appropriate action in this matter? Here is their official
response when asked recently to comment on the Pensacola "Outpouring" in
a
letter from Thomas E. Trask, General Superintendant of the Assmeblies
Of God. What about the rest of the false teaching and prophecy of this
"counterfeit" revival movement? Check out my compilation of quotes in an
article called "By Your Words" - Quotes From Third Wave Leaders" for just
a small dose of the false teaching from the leaders of this movement. It's
time to take a stand on this matter, fellow Christians! Time to be counted.
No more wishy-washy "well, there are good and bad things in this movement
but it's basically good" or "I'd rather see the devil and flesh manifested
in church than nothing discernable happening at all". This is not an issue
that can be "balanced" away by a good old American sense of "fair play".
We as Christians are to hold to the objective truth of God's Word, or else
we cannot call ourselves Christians. It's time for the true body of Christ
to be heard on this matter. Where is the outcry? Where is the indignation
that this man has dared to make false prophesies about the demise of a
fellow Christian and attribute them to a conversation he had with God Almighty?
Has the Christian community been silenced in fear of being labeled "mockers"
by Steve Hill in his book "The God Mockers" when, in fact, all Christians
should hold to and defend sound doctrine as did the Bereans when they tested
what was being taught to them? Where is the disgust at the fact that Kilpatrick
made a deceitful apology denying that he prophesied and published it all
over the Internet? Where is the outrage that he now continues to spread
false stories in his church about Hank Hanegraaff? Where is the ire of
God's people when this man dared to presume to order God around by speaking
false "proclamations" "into God's ears"? What is your response, people
of God? We had better start cleaning house before thousands of children
and youth are exposed to the ugly manifestations, deceitful testimonies,
false teaching and false prophecy of this "counterfeit" revival movement!
(6) Benny Hinn
and Necromancy (Talking to the Dead) by Joseph R. Chambers, 1997
Benny Hinn "stated clearly that he had seen saints ("dead saints")
and that they talked to him, gave him instructions, and told him they were
praying for him. This is clearly necromancy or communication with the dead.
He went further to state that his necromancy was Biblically supported by
Jesus Christ’s experience on the Mount of Transfiguration when Moses and
Elijah talked to the Lord."
(7) Kenneth
Hagin by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1997
"Literally hundreds of thousands of people are being influenced
by this man's heretical teachings, which are now being propagated by his
son and grandson and thousands of Rhema graduates in thousands of Rhema
churches around the world. Brother Hagin has duplicated himself thousands
of times over and his error is widespread. "
(8) Marilyn
Hickey by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1997
"From her school (and these others) a new generation of Word of
Faith ministries is being grown, with more and more error and heresy. Remember
heresy does not get better, it does not improve with age, like a fine wine.
It continues to drift further and further into darkness. The only way heresy
is stopped in the Church is by godly people standing up for the truth and
being willing to swim upstream against what is popular. I pray you are
I will be some of these people."

(10) The Challenging
Counterfeit - A Study Of Spiritualism by Raphael Gasson,The Assemblies
Of God Publishing House, Copywrite 1996
This is a book about Spiritualism and Spiritism by a man who was miraculously
saved out of that movement. This is the last chapter of this book. Notice
the parallels to what is going on in the Third Wave, counterfeit revival
movement of today -- in the Toronto “Blessing” and Pensacola “Outpouring”
churches and leaders that have received “the anointing”. It appears that
the enemy has not changes his tactics too much, only that today they are
being evidenced in churches that formerly considered themselves to be doctrinally
sound. Connections to Spiritualism/Spiritism have been documented in the
faith healers of this same time period of the early 1900s, such as William
Branham and Kathryn Kuhlman. Other more recent
individuals have been linked to necromancy such as Benny
Hinn. The same techniques and manifestations are also now present in
the counterfeit revival, including Indian-style chanting, visions where
dead “Christians” appear and give advice, and ugly degrading "manifestations"
of the “spirit”. Test the spirits and judge for yourself where this “new
revelation” and “anointing” is coming from. This is an old book and may
be out of print. However, it is still listed with the Library Of Congress
and the new publisher is Logos International of Plainfield, NJ, 1979. Notice
the original publisher was the Assemblies of God Publishing House. Ironic,
in view of the Brownsville A/G in Pensacola, FL."

(12) TBN Replies to
Charge of Death Threat by Bob Hunter, 1997
"In response to numerous inquiries, Trinity

the issue, or avoid it by set up a strawman argument? The text of their

my comments."
(13) Michael
Brown's False Prophecy by Bob Hunter & Debra Bouey, 1998
"One of the foremost theologians and spokemen

prophecy given by Dr. Brown. Given the international nature of his ministry,
this spokesman wishes to remain anonymous, but reader inquiries related
to any cited material will be forwarded to him and he will reply privately

(14) The
Final Quest: A Review and Critique by Eric S. Weiss, 1998
"On balance, however, I think that there is
more in this book (by Rick Joyner) that readers should be warned against
than encouraged to accept, and I believe that the objections and concerns
I express here can be sufficiently documented from the book (and from Scripture,
where appropriate) so that my criticisms won't seem unwarranted or unreasonable.
Since I am primarily writing about what I perceive to be problems or errors,
much here will be negative. As I've mentioned, the Christian buying public
is already saying many good things about this book. The reader will have
to decide if such positive acceptance is warranted."
(15) Kenneth Hagin and
the Spirit of the Serpent by Joseph R. Chambers, D.D., 1998
"The final chapter of Mr. Hagin is being written
even as I write this article. Our video
by this title tells the whole truth. The serpent spirit has grown in his
teaching and methods until I believe the real source is being made manifest.
He just conducted a Kenneth Hagin Holy Ghost meeting in Chesterfield, MO.
The meeting was held from October 12th to October 24th. On the third night
he began to manifest this spirit with his tongue sticking out and wiggling
like a serpent’s tongue. He also began to hiss. On Thursday night, as he
began to hiss, many of the people began to slither down out of their seats
feet first. Some of the people would hiss back at him. The emotional response
of the audience is indescribable. Kenneth Hagin and many of the people
became insanely "drunk." (This link

(16) How
can we discern false teachers? by Biblical Studies Foundation,
1998
"There are many godless guides who would lead
us to the wide gate and the way which leads to destruction. These false
teachers are not only blind themselves, but they lead others to destruction
with them. It is the Lord Who will pronounce the final verdict and Who
will sentence the false prophets to everlasting torment."
(17) Televangelist
Investigations - Corruption in Televangelism and Paganism in the American
Church A speech presented Sept. 23, 1994, at the Philadelphia
Conference on Cults, the Occult and the Word Faith Movement, by Ole Anthony
The lives and messages of the televangelists
reveal a progressively straying path toward paganism. But God has allowed
them to come to prominence so the church can see the reflection of itself
in them, and repent.
(18) Questions
And Answers: The Televangelist Investigations by Ole Anthony
Paul calls for us to "Prove all things; hold
fast to that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil" (I Thes.
5:21,22). The Christian message should be able to withstand any scrutiny.
Believers are called to "try the spirits, whether they are of God, because
many false prophets are gone out into the world" (I John 4:1). The TV evangelists
have barged into our living rooms with their broadcasts and turned the
spotlight on themselves. They have demanded attention, so we're giving
it to them.
(19) What Benefit Is The
"Prophetic Movement"? by Inner-City Christian Discernment Ministry,
1998
Ask yourself the following questions (or ask
a prophet if you know one): Has any restored prophet brought any
divine insight into serious theological issues which have divided the Church?
NO. Has any restored prophet brought unity to the Body of Christ due to
their insights? NO. Has any restored prophet ever foretold anything of
great consequence to the Church or community (warning of terrorist bombings,
stock market crashes, assassinations, etc.)? NO. Has any restored prophet
been called upon to locate criminals, or locate missing children, or to
solve crimes? NO. Why Not?
(20) Kenneth
Hagin - False Prophet by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1998
"Mr. Hagin has long been touted as a prophet by many within the
charismatic movement for years. Without a doubt, all people within
the Word of Faith Movement look to Mr. Hagin as a genuine prophet of God.
The facts seem to indicate otherwise! Here are three examples of
Hagin's prophetic ability - all of which failed to come to pass."
(21) Sick Healers?
by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1998
"Probably the saddest "cut" of all is the FACT that the majority
of what the Word of Faith/Prophetic Movement charismaniacs teach does not
even work in their own sorry lives. I do not deny that the Lord our God
is a Healer - - - but He does so according to His sovereign will. We, His
children DO NOT command healing to "be."
(22) Teach Healing?
by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1998
"Got this in the mail a little while back and I thought it would
be interesting for people to see that these folks at Toronto believe they
can teach you how to heal the sick. This is nothing new, because
the "Happy Hunters" have been holding How to Heal the Sick Seminars for
many many years. In fact, my wife and I attended one in Ohio, and
got to work directly with the Hunters. Can't you see the Apostle Paul holding
a healing seminar in Ephesus (I can't)."

(24) Kenneth
Hagin - Another Failed Prophecy by Contenders, 1999
"Another Failed Prophecy! Kenneth Hagin Prophecy For October In
July Kenneth Hagin issued a prophecy which indicates that the great revival
everyone has been waiting for will begin in October after "that which has

the critics, the rapture of the church, the "cleansing" that New Agers
have spoken of? You decide."

Expositor, 1995
"The apostle Peter wrote
describing Paul's epistles, "...in which are some things hard to be understood,
which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,
as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction" (2 Peter
3:16). There are many individual powerful practices which characterize
the methods of deception employed by false teachers, but the twisting of
Scripture is universal among them."
(27) Beware
The New Prophets an extract from the book by Bill Randles, 1999
Influential 'prophets' in
the US are claiming to be an end-time super-army for the Lord. But their
'prophesies' are often wrong. Pentecostal pastor
Bill Randles investigates . . . "One consistent characteristic of the
new prophets is their insistence that the New Testament prophets do not
have to be subjected to the tests of Deuteronomy (13.1-3 and 18.22)." You

(29) Religious
Psychics & The Charismatic New Wave by Joseph Chambers, 1999
"In
many congregations Biblical truth has been treated lightly while social
and emotional matters have demanded attention. This closing hour does not
allow for such carelessness neither does it allow a light treatment of
the "spirit of discernment." Those who do not have a firm and conscious
hold on Biblical values and Biblical truth will not be able to survive."

(30) Trinity
Broadcasting Network Teachers by The Contenders, 1999
"The
Word-Faith movement is far more dangerous than any of the cults because
they have infiltrated the church
and
leave the distinct impression with the secular world that their brand of
"Christianity" truly represents Christianity.1 In truth, it represents
the worst teachings ever to go under the name "Christian." It is unfortunate
that Christian leaders are so afraid of Paul Crouch that they won't stand
up to him, but continue to broadcast their programs on TBN or commend TBN's
work. If you are a TBN supporter who thinks people like myself are causing
division, read what these people say carefully, then ask
yourself,
"What would a non-Christian think if TBN was his first introduction to
Christianity and he heard this stuff?" On October 29th, 1999, on a CNN
Chat session, Matt Crouch told me that doctrine was not important."
(31) How
Do We Discern False Teachers? by Biblical Studies Foundation, 1999
"Matthew
7:13-23 - False prophets are particularly dangerous because they appear
to be genuine. They seemingly have the credentials of authority. What are
these credentials? Jesus calls them ‘sheep’s clothing’ (verse 15). The
outward forms would incline one to believe these false prophets to be reliable
guides. They may wear a distinctive garb which sets them apart as leaders.
They may have the title ‘reverend.’ They may be men who hold positions
of religious leadership. They may well have graduated from a divinity school.
Indeed, they might even be seminary professors. Judging on the basis of
external indications we might wrongly assume them to be reliable guides,
but we must not evaluate them on such external evidence."
(32) False
Leaders by L. Eve Engelbrite, Cult Awareness Information Center,
1997
"Non-Christian
false leaders can be divided into secular (EST, humanism, communism, etc.;
example Herod in Acts 12:21-23), and religious (Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism,
spiritualism, etc.). False leaders who were previously Christian can be
divided into the morally apostate
(1
John 3:4-10) and the theologically apostate (1 John 2:18-27)."
(33) P.S.
- Beware Of False Prophets by Paul Becker, A Voice In The Wilderness,
2000
Taken
from Romans 16. "These who -claim- to be "uniting" everybody are actually
the ones -CAUSING- the "divisions". What "division" is this? Dividing people
AWAY FROM God's Word. Away from God's Doctrine. Doctrine is what brings
"unity" to Believers. (1Cor1:10) So when they throw God's Doctrine out
the window, they are dividing God's people."
(34) Anti-Spirits
And False Teaching by Shirley Ann Miller from the book, "Anti-Spirits
and False Teaching" and Lampholder Ezine series on "Mind Control "Lampholder
Publications
"God
gave every person on the face of the Earth "a mind." When you suppress
or suspend the thought process you essentially disconnect the "whole" person.
God made mankind to interact with Him by a renewal of mind (the soul),
spirit, and body. When God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit, He speaks
through our spirit to the mind, but the mind (upon being renewed in the
Spirit) confirms the Holy Spirit promptings and aligns with the Word of
God. The supernatural receives "spiritual" messages that manifest themselves
from the spiritual realm into the physical through "the senses and the
passive mind." If you disconnect your thought process, you open yourself
to receive whatever supernatural, spiritual manifestations happen to be
manifesting their presence at the time, and by opening yourself up to anything
but the Holy Spirit, you WILL find yourself dealing with "other spirits."
Remember: Always investigate the source and test the spirits "...to see
whether they are of God...(1 John 4:1). As the anti-spirits plot in the
air and work on earth against God, believers must continually fight back
with spiritual power through prayer and intercession."

(36) Testing The Fruit
Of Charisma's Heroes by Jackie Alnor, 2000
"Charisma
Magazine's 25th Anniversary edition looks at the legacy of those who have
graced its covers. The list is a Who's Who of people who have brought
shame to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This self-tribute is the biggest
compilation of evidence against the charismatic renewal ever put to paper.
Stephen Strang (founding editor) and Lee Grady (editor-in-chief) have unknowingly
demonstrated what a miserable lack of accountability exists in their ranks.
Here's some brief quotes that speak from themselves as seen in this new
issue of Charisma displaying the cacophony of scoundrels, heretics, and
rotten churched role-models ..."

Pursuit of Power by Jackie Alnor, Apostasy Alert, 5/19/07
There is a new kind of seeker today – not a seeker of truth, but
a seeker of power. Churches are encouraged to be "seeker-sensitive" to
those who are looking for something supernatural and there is a plethora
of false teachers who are quite willing to give them what their itching
ears want to hear and what their scaly eyes want to see.

HELL IS RIGHT HERE ON EARTH! This is the claim of Bishop Carlton
Pearson, a minister who had so much influence in the world of TV evangelism.
He was once a rising star on TBN, and someone whom Oral Roberts himself
took under his own wing! All this changed after Pearson had, what he called,
a “revelation” from God about hell, and after he started to preach this
revelation, things took a turn for the worse. What was this “new revelation”?

What these soothsayers and charlatans are doing is wrong. Those

Those who endorse, promote and are involved (TBN) with these soothsayers
and charlatans are partakers of the same evil deeds in leading people to
hell knowingly or unknowingly. They as well will be held accountable to
God for choosing to serve Satan in this manner. They too need to seek God's
forgiveness of their sins and stop serving Satan in this manner.

(65) Three
Fatal Errors Common Among False Teachers by Mike Gendron, Proclaiming
the Gospel, 9/08, PDF
Since we are now living in the age of religious tolerance and ecumenical
unity, there are some people who will immediately call this article unloving
and divisive. Others will ask, "What right do you have to judge another
religion?" The answer is given in Scripture. All God-fearing people are
called to make right judgments, judgments that have already been established
by the objective principles of God's Word John 7:24). There may
be nothing more important than warning people who are being deceived about
their eternal destiny. If we do not lovingly confront them with God's Gospel,
they may never know how to escape the eternal fire of God's punishment.
Clearly, the most unloving thing we can do is to ignore them and let them
continue down the road to destruction. For this reason, I am
always willing to offend people with the offense and exclusivity
of the Gospel in the hopes that God may grant some of them repentance leading
to a knowledge of the truth 2 Tim. 2: 25). Let us look at three fatal errors
of false prophets and how to handle them.

Matthew 18:15-20 This, my friends, is one of the most misquoted,
misused passages of Scripture in the New Testament. And it’s driving me
crazy. This is the favorite passage of choice by the false prophets and
false teachers among the church and because the sheep have so little understanding
of Scripture, they go right along with its gross misrepresentation, often
repeating the ill-conceived interpretation offered.
(69) Three
Common Errors of False Teachers by Mike Gendron, Proclaiming The

Since we are now living in the age of religious tolerance and ecumenical

(70) False Teachers ... REVISITED!
by Sandy Simpson. ACT, 9/03/09
I often receive requests to present updated false teachings and
false prophecies by the myriad of heretics out there. We do try to
keep up with all the latest. But I have to remind people that those
we have exposed as false on our site have not repented of what they have
already done in the past, which is why they are still on our site.
I will only deal with quotes from
2007 through 2009 in this article. I will not go into detailed analysis
of these newer quotes in order to save space, but will present a short
comment and link you elsewhere for the detailed report, if there is one.
(71) "X-Men"
by Pastor Larry DeBruyn, 9/24/09
So it's truly a sad day when we see those professing to know God
believing and behaving as if they do not. So it's significant to note that
the divine judgment was to begin in the sanctuary and then work its way
out through Jerusalem and the rest of the entire nation (Compare 1 Peter
4:17.). This order of judgment compelled Paul to command the congregation
at Rome: "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions
and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid
them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their
own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the
simple" (Romans 16:17-18, KJV). But if we are to engage in such marking,
we ought to be reminded that the accompanying emotion ought to be one of
grief. Yet we ought also to be reminded that in the end those who refuse
to mark false teachers may not be marked by the Lord to be spared divine
judgment.
(72) God
is Light by Pastor Bill Randles, Believers In Grace Ministries,
9/23/09 - Read Part
1 & Part
2.
John’s first epistle was written to restore the true knowledge of
God, to Christians whose faith had been undermined by an early form of
Gnosticism. A “Gnostic” is a Christian who claims a special, mystical knowledge
of God, which is unique to conventional Christians. Gnostics re-define
what it means to know God, what prayer is, how revelation is received,
who God is, what it means to be spiritual, etc. The effect is that so-called
“normal” Christians began to doubt their own knowledge and experience of
God.

(74) Making
God’s People Trust in a Lie… by Pastor Bill Randles, 4/21/10
It is happening all over again. In the church, as in the last days
of Judah, immediately preceding the devastation of the Babylonian captivity
and the destruction of the temple, Christians are being inoculated
to conviction and preparedness by the soothing Words of false prophets
like Hananiah.
(75) Points
to Ponder - Todd Bentley, Benny Hinn, Rick Joyner, and False Teachers
by Bud Press, Christian Research Service, 6/10/10
By their own doing, false teachers are plagued with contradictions,
which is a natural consequence to being double-minded. Gradually, false
teachers tell their stories and, at the same time, teach their followers
to believe in their dreams, visions, and revelations--despite the Biblical
warnings. And because many modern-day false prophets and false teachers
claim to see "Jesus" and have direct, verbal communication with God, their
words are slowly phased in as the word of God, while God's inspired written
words are phased out. As such, so-called "new revelations from God" spewed
from the mouths of false teachers today are likely to change into something
totally different tomorrow. Indeed, contradictions and double-mindedness
go hand in hand, both of which should prompt red flags of discernment.

(No ‘love gift’ asked for). Then, in view of millions who have never heard

Finally decide whether you want to help Benny Hinn buy another Rolex, or
help a missionary get a megaphone, some Bibles, a bicycle, a warm coat

this with Marilyn Hickey Ministries that, not so long ago, asked if you

(79) Minister
or Sinister?- How to know when your church has become a cult by
Preacher Bureau of Investigations, 11/5/10
Everything is about CONTROL. The main tools used to control
members are INTIMIDATION and MANIPULATION. The intimidation and manipulation
are very subtle and disguised with a false sense of love and concern.
It’s all a strategic COURTSHIP. Most people come to church with a NEED.
The need can be physical, emotional, financial, social, or spiritual. Having
that need puts a person in a very vulnerable state of mind and they are
searching for fulfillment of the need. CULT PASTORS are searching
for vulnerable people that they can control and manipulate.
(80) Harold Camping Strikes (Out) Again!
by Sandy Simpson, 12/5/10
Imagine my shock when I heard that Harold Camping was up to his
former tricks in predicting, using some kind of fancy numerology, that
Jesus Christ will return on May 21, 2011. I quickly thought about
how I would cancel my plane reservations to speak at a discernment conference.
I mean, if Jesus is coming back then there will no longer be a need to
expose false teachers because they will have met their demise along with
their leader. But then I realized, Camping is himself a false teacher
and so I thought I would write this article to use on my speaking trip
since I will be talking about his second failed prediction then.
(81) May
21, 2011 and the Harold Camping Cult "Prophecy" by Justin Edwards,
1/5/10
The world is not lacking in its number of cults who have attempted
to set dates for the return of Christ or the end of the world. Whether
drinking poisoned kool-aid to join the passing comet gods or merely predicting
dates for TEOTWAWKI (the-end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it), obviously these
have failed miserably - and for good, biblical reason. Despite the clear
truth of Scripture on these matters, false prophets such as Harold Camping
and his Family Radio cult continue to set dates for the end of all things.

of a False Prophet by Sharon Lindbloom, 1/16/11
During an email exchange a Latter-day Saint wrote, "You have continually
said that the 'LDS' church is led by a false prophet. Do you even have
the slightest idea who the prophet is right now? His name is Gordon B.
Hinckley, and HE IS A PROPHET OF GOD. You can't even sit there and tell
me that he is leading anyone astray -- he is a man of integrity beyond
your comprehension." I have encountered this sort of assertion many times.
People seem to think that a false prophet would have horns and bad teeth;
that he would be easily recognizable as evil. They think that if someone
is attractive or calls people to do "good" things, he must represent the
one true God. But what does the Bible say?

But for one group of not-so happy campers, doomsday is a lot sooner...May
21 to be precise. According to the predictions of the Family Radio ministry,
on that date a massive earthquake will shake the world apart, littering

May 21 Fallout…by Bill Randles, Believers In Grace, 5/21/11
I believe that May 21, 2011 will prove to have been a watershed
day for millions of people, regardless of the fact that Jesus didn’t come
back to rapture His flock, and commence the judgment of the earth, as predicted
by Harold Camping. Evidently the calculations of the self-confessed life
long Bible student, and civil engineer didn’t quite add up. I hope you
don’t think I am being facetious about it, because there is nothing humorous
in this at all. In fact, I have no doubt that though things didn’t work
out as some anticipated, many lives will never be the same again because
of the fallout from this spiritual fiasco. The impact for many will stretch
into eternity.

cult of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Camping is quoted as dreaming: “Were
not changing a date at all; we’re just learning that we have to be a little
more spiritual about this,” he said in a rambling 90-minute radio
broadcast that was part sermon, part press conference. “But on Oct. 21,
the world will be destroyed. It won’t be five months of destruction. It

to "rapture" his followers to heaven on May 21. Camping said mankind
had run out of time, and the Creator of the universe would arrive on that

(98) Faith
Healers and Dealers by Pastor Larry DeBruyn, 7/15/11
Look at it like this: a particular evangelist claims to possess
power from God to heal people. Then, we ask, why doesn’t he go to public
hospitals or physical rehab facilities and call the sick and the lame out
of their beds? If the pretend healer did, can you imagine the amazement
that would fall over all the nurses, doctors, workers and other patients?
So why don’t the charismatic healers leave the friendly confines of planned
meetings in rented auditoriums and go to the hospitals? Why don’t they
just do it? Maybe they don’t do it because they can’t. And if they can’t,
when in fact they put on airs they can, then they are liars. But if like
Peter they really can but won’t, then “these healers” are cruel. So their
failure to heal in public places like hospitals strikes at the heart of
their credibility. By failing to go to hospitals and heal, are they violating
their “hypocritical” oath. In either case, they stand exposed as either
liars or loveless.

Shepherds - an Examination in Light of Scripture by Mishel McCumber,
Deception Bytes, 2/23/12
Recently, I became aware of scripture verses in Jeremiah I had previously
been unaware of. Immediately, I was stuck by how accurately the verses
portrayed the characteristics of the apostate shepherds, teachers, and
prophets we are seeing in the church today. It drove me to pull out
other scriptures to see if I could get an overall picture of what GOD considers
to be a bad (or false)shepherd. I should not have found it surprising that
God so accurately described over two thousand years ago, those I would
run across in my trek through the wilderness of false doctrine; but I did.
This is in no way a comprehensive list and if you find other scriptures
that address these false shepherds, teachers, pastors, teachers and prophets,
I would be grateful if you pass them along. I have first given a
list of characteristics then backed them up with scripture, adding a short
personal commentary.
(106) Prophets,

God does not want you to be rich. Every so often, he raises up a
prophet to teach wayward profiteers about the sacrifice he demands. Ephren
W. Taylor II, who called himself "the Social Capitalist," may be one such
prophet. This son of a preacherman sold investment schemes at megachurches
from Bishop Eddie Long's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church near Atlanta
to Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston. The Securities and Exchange
Commission recently charged Mr. Taylor with running a Ponzi scheme. His
victims are now congregating in a class-action lawsuit. (Read more about

God and our Lord Jesus Christ,” (v. 4). It’s amazing because it sounds
like the DVD I’ve just previewed; a new and timely video entitled, The

Biblical Christianity. What we’re observing in the 21st century was already
prevalent at the inception of the church.

in the church today under the pretence that it is the work of the Holy

Outright lies are peddled from internet ministries in their broadcasts
and dressed up as special revelation from God. The gift of prophecy, a
thing of excellence in its uncorrupted state, is being degraded into a
morass of dream interpretation. The gospel and the risen Christ take a

responsible seek the prophetic glory for themselves and their ministries.

Christian Divination: The False Claims and Practices of Christian Mystics
by Bob DeWaay, 2007
Those today who are evangelical Christians, who know God through

of Jeroboam.” They are, like Jeroboam, very creative in making Christianity
relevant to the current culture. The problem is not Western rationalism
as the contemporary mystics all claim. They are fighting an obsolete battle.
The prevailing culture in America is very much “spiritual.” They claim
the need for mystical experience to fight against modernity when they are
in a post-modern culture that has embraced the East. The danger today is
not that people think that the material realm is all there is, it is that
they think they can contact the spiritual realm their own way. They are
practicing divination.

Somewhere at this very moment on Planet Earth, the Antichrist is

Far from it! That likelihood is based upon a sober evaluation of current
events in relation to Bible prophecy. Already a mature man, the Antichrist
is perhaps active in politics and might even be an admired world leader.
Or he could be the head of a multinational corporation, a little-known
international banker of great wealth and behind-the-scenes influence, a
sports hero—or he might arise suddenly from total anonymity. Somewhere
he is being meticulously groomed, though as yet he probably has no more
inkling than do those who encounter him daily of the ultimate role for
which Satan is preparing him and will, one momentous day, utterly possess
him.
(118) Wolf In Sheep’s
Clothing: 5 Tips to Identify One by Forgotten Word Ministries,
1/8/14
Have you ever heard the saying “a wolf in sheep’s clothing”?
I have heard it a couple of places. First, many years ago I heard one of
Aesop’s Fables which talked about a wolf that put on a sheep skin so that
he could fool the shepherd into believing he was a lamb. Then when
the shepherd locked the flock behind the gate at night the wolf thought
he was clear to eat all the sheep he wanted. To his surprise the shepherd
returned to the flock that night to gather meat for the next day. The wolf
in sheep’s clothing was killed as one of the sheep. You see the saying
“wolf in sheep’s clothing” simply means someone who is pretending to be
something they are not. Years later I heard this concept in another place
–The Bible. Jesus warns against wolves in sheep’s clothing: “ … Beware
of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but in-wardly are
ravenous wolves.” Mathew 7:15 Following are five tips on how you
can identify a wolf in sheep’s clothing; a false prophet.

of it on The Trinity Church’s shiny new website, Driscoll built and presided
over Seattle’s controversial Mars Hill Church, and he is one of the most
famous and disruptive figures in the history of the evangelical mega-church
movement. But as Driscoll’s star rose, he was dogged by allegations from
church members and pastors as well as from outsiders—of bullying and spiritual
abuse, misogyny and homophobia, plagiarism, and misuse of church funds,
just to name a few. In 2014, after being asked to submit to a reconciliation
plan proposed by the church board he organized, Driscoll quit.

from sin and the power of the devil, subjects any Christian ought to be
familiar with. But a closer look reveals teachings that have far more in
common with extremist Charismatic movements than with the Bible.
The bondage that Anderson promises deliverance from is not simply from
the power of sin but from demons—some of them originating with long-dead
ancestors—who indwell believers.

Through his influential ministry, Freedom in Christ, Neil T. Anderson

many others would be more aptly described as bondage making than as bondage

Branham
(1) William
M. Branham by Rev. Robert S. Liichow, 1997 "Apart from the fact
that almost everything he said or taught publicly is available in one form
of another there is a more lasting and damaging legacy left behind. Branham
was responsible in a great part for the formation of what came to be known
as the New Order of the Latter Rain. Branham believed in the distributing
of spiritual gifts by the laying on of hands, he believed in restored prophets
and apostles. He was the vanguard of many more to come who will operate
in this end-time glory and power."

(3) Apostate
Occult Oneness Prophets: The Evil Of William Branham & The Manifest
Sons Of God Copyright © 1997 Zenith Harris Merrill
"William Branham, the "father" of the Manifest Sons of God" theology,
and much of the Charismatic movement, which has inspired the Citi-Church,
Universal DAWN movement and C. Peter Wagner's Spiritual Mapping of today,
was empowered by Satan. C. Peter Wagner, in his book, Engaging the Enemy,
attributes much of his information on "Territorial Spirits" to practising
Witchdoctors and former Satanists, rather than God's Word. William Branham
was Baptist, until his wife died in childbirth, and he had "angelic" visitors
who told him it was because he needed to be teaching and preaching "Oneness,"
instead of the Trinity. He then joined a Oneness Pentecostal church and
taught nothing else for the rest of his life. He believed in what the early
Church Fathers called the error of Modalism, also known as Monarchianism
and Sabellianism: that Jesus is all there ever was of God - He says that
God "always had skin on him," but that Jesus sometimes functioned either
as the Father or as the Holy Spirit, instead of Himself. Branham taught
that God could only function as one at a time, much like an actor playing
one role and then another. Where did he ever get such an idea? Everything
he believed was from "his" angel of light."

and Legacy of William Branham by Mike Oppenheimer, 8/18/12
One cannot understand the modern miracle revivals or healing crusades
of Benny Hinn, Rodney Browne (laughter), Toronto, Brownsville, or Todd
Bentley without referring to the healing revivals of the 40’s-50’s.that
were steered and popularized by William Branham. Nearly all the practices
of today's apostles, Prophets, healers, faith ministries, are being copied.
Visits by angels and the Lord Jesus, words of knowledge (telling people
where people live and secrets of their lives), new revelations were all
part of William Branham’s ministry operation. One can trace portions of
the revivals in our modern era back to him. The Latter Rain teachings began
by Branham and spread to so many. Branham believed he was born with a personal
angel that was a gift. But he did not think of it as such until he was
converted and went to church. This gave him an answer to a disembodied
voice (spirit) that accompanied him from birth and instructed him through
life, telling him future events and diagnosing peoples diseases. The video
is filled with audio and video on crucial teachings of Branham (and others
that admire him) that show that his angel was in charge of the supernatural
taking place. Understanding Branham's ministry in the 40'sand 50's is key
to our day. Once we know about Branham we can identify the strange teachings
and practices taking place from the new apostles and prophets trying to
bring their mystical (Latter Rain) revival in the church today. (you
can read our articles on Branham in the Latter rain section). DVD is one
hour and 15 minutes long.

Branham - False Prophet by Forgotten Word Ministries, 9/7/12
I have decided to write this article on William Branham for 2 reasons
and that is this: William Branham’s influence on the church today is nothing
but a vile attack on the True Body of Christ. This article will also serve
as a reference to some articles that I will be writing soon on some supposed
‘men of God’ aka ‘Prophets’ in South Africa – who claim that they have
William Branham’s Mantle. Any ‘pastor’ who says that William Branham was
truly a man of God or says they have anything from William Branham (mantle,
angel, follows his teachings, etc) should be avoided like the plague.

(11) A Challenge
to Message Believers concerning William Branham by Forgotten Word
Ministries, 9/25/13
While some view William Branham's healing ministry and his gift
with the word of knowledge as proof that he was a prophet, this is not
the Biblical test. There are numerous prophecies on this website that were
made by William Branham in advance but were not fulfilled. This creates
a clear problem with Deuteronomy 18:20-22. One would think that those that
believe him to be a prophet would have numerous examples of publicly available
prophecies that were later clearly fulfilled. Sadly, this is not the case.
(12) The
Hidden Truth About William Branham and His Message by Chad Creamer,
3/31/14
Breaking away was very difficult, to the point where some even contemplated
suicide. It is only through the Grace of God that we have come out of the
great deception and looked to Jesus Christ as our only means of Salvation.
There are still many scars, the pain of having family members still trapped
in the cult and the loss of childhood friends. I hope I have helped shed
some light on this movement that has bound millions of people in its grip.
I trust that God will raise more valiant soldiers who will enter the battle
and shine the Light of Truth to all people. Deception has many forms; Branhamism
is just one of them.
(13) See, we told
you he was a prophet….! Really? by Mike Oppenheimer, 3/23/15
When God gives a vision it is connected to what he is or is going
to do among his people, and it is to prophesy. It’s not like a psychic
vision of disaster or of the future that has nothing to do with Israel,
the church. William Branham said he experienced a series of 7 visions in
1933; this was the fourth one in the series. “The Lord Jesus spoke to me
and said that the coming of the Lord was drawing nigh, but that before
He came, seven major events would transpire. I wrote them all down and
that morning I gave forth the revelation of the Lord.” One Sunday morning
about seven o'clock it happened. And It said, "Then there would come to
pass that they'd invent a car that they didn't need a steering wheel in
it; it'd be controlled by some kind of a power." They got it now. They
got it now, a magnetic power, radar control. They don't even... Just set
your radar to where you're going, it takes you yourself; you don't have
to steer it. (Ephesian Church age Jefferson Indiana 131 - 183, 60 – 1205)
Branham had received a message but from whom is the question? This was
not a vision form the Lord because of how vague it is, besides its inaccuracy.
Not to mention this was encased with 6 other visions Branham had. Seven
Major events were revealed to him in a vision before he was to preach in
a Masonic hall. What was he doing in a Masonic Hall is a good question
to ask, as Masons hold Christ in disrepute.

Q. Do you believe non-Christians can go to heaven?
A. That's a good question to ask because the way we stand is we
contend that trusting in Jesus is the way to heaven. However, we do not
know who Jesus will bring into the kingdom and who He will not. We are
very very careful about pronouncing judgment on anybody. We leave judgment

but we have no way of knowing to whom the grace of God is extended. (Online

Campolo; False Teacher by Truth Watch NZ, 1/3/13
This mixture of biblically based confessions and unbiblical teaching
make Campolo a prime example of the like-warmness that disgusts Jesus (Revelation
3:14-22). It makes him a dangerous man for the undiscerning.
He has clearly fashioned a God made in his image to satisfy some personal
quest to reconcile the secular and the sacred. His golden calf is
a composite god fashioned to be kind and acceptable to a world he wants
to surround in the milk of his own good-will. By mixing truth with
error he has broken the first and second commandments, for which he will
one day have to account.
(10) Tony
Campolo to Shutter Ministry by The Berean Call, 1/27/14
TBC: While Campolo claims to have “taught evangelicals how to speak
the language of social justice,” he has contributed to the denial of the
biblical gospel, which he to a certain degree admits: In his book, A Reasonable
Faith he writes: “There are some warnings that I wish to issue to anyone
reading this book. The first is to be aware that the theology expressed
in this short volume represents a personal attempt to state my Christian
faith in a way that might prove meaningful for my secularist friends. I
am sensitive to the fact that any attempt to state the Gospel in the dominant
categories of a culture inevitably leads to a distortion of the Gospel.
Consequently, anyone who accuses me of violating the biblical message is
correct” (p. 190).
(11) A
response to Tony Campolo’s Article “Going the Jesus Way” at Lighthouse

Their call to RADICAL DISCIPLESHIP has an appearance of Godliness
but denies God’s complete rule. Here’s some more red letters, “Their worship
is a farce, for they replace God’s commands with their own man-made teachings”
(Matthew 15:9). Being radical is irrelevant, it’s following Jesus without
compromise that matters. Again, we don’t need any “new movement,” unless
it’s one that aims at preserving the purity of the entire word of God and
standing firm on it. If the red letters are the most important to the RLC’s,
then they should practice what they preach and start living by them.

YONGGI CHO’S THEOLOGY AND CHURCH GROWTH METHODOLOGY by Christian
Wei, The Burning Bush, Volume 2 Number 2, July 1996
One of the most dangerous and confused issues
in contemporary Christianity is on the nature of the Christian’s success
or prosperity. People in our success-oriented generation are always attracted
to successful methods or prosperous phenomena. If a particular method works,
a great multitude will follow and exalt it, regardless of its philosophy
or theological accuracy. It is very disheartening to know that many people
in modern Christianity have discarded God’s Word and Christian doctrine
in favour of these so-called "successful methods" in their pursuit for
more success in this world. One of their favourite arguments is based on
Gamaliel’s philosophy (Acts 5:33–40). Thus, they argue that one indication
that their activities are of God is the presence of large crowds. They
forget, however, that there are many false religions in this world with
innumerable adherents. Paul Yonggi Cho, a very influential person in the
Christian scene today, is a leading proponent of the above-mentioned concept.

(1) The
Other Gospel Of John Hagee by G. Richard Fisher, PFO, 1999
"Most
people who see and hear the Rev. John C. Hagee are impressed. He is rotund,
strident, authoritative (and could well pass for Rush Limbaugh’s older
and more serious brother). His delivery alone gives the impression of one
who really knows what he is talking about. However, careful evaluation
of the teachings of Hagee, pastor at the San Antonio-based Cornerstone
Church, reveals false teaching and a defective view of a basic and essential
issue regarding salvation and the Gospel. Hagee preaches another way of
salvation for the Jew, which is in direct violation of Paul’s warnings
in Galatians 1:6-9."
(2) John

(3) John Hagee's Word Games Regarding The
"Dual Covenant." by Orrel Steinkamp, The Plumbline, Volume 12,
Nov 6, November/December 2007
The Houston newspaper then quoted Hagee's own shocking words: "I'm
not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith... In fact,
trying to convert Jews is a 'waste of titne. . Jews already have a covenant
with God and that has never been replaced by Christianity." (Houston Chronicle,
April 30, 1988, sec, 6, pg. 1). But, Hagee knows that most Christians and
almost all dispensational believers do not accept this and are in fact
shocked by it. In response to a letter by PFO Director M. Kurt Goedelman,
Hagee essentially denied this. NOW HERE IS THE POINT REGARDING WORDS BEING
USED TO COVER AND DECIEVE. "Hagee claimed in a carefully nuanced letter,
dated June 18, that the Houston Chronicle had distorted what he said and
went on to further to assert: "I have not or never have been dual covenant
in my preaching”. In this he is being less than honest and playing word
games... Hagee's true view is a muddled form of the 'Two Covenant' or 'Dual
Covenant' theory, even though he would deny the label. It should be noted
that Hagee said in his reply only that he has not been dual covenant 'in
my preaching'." (PFO, G. Richard Fisher, the Other Gospel Of John Hagee.)
This is slicing and dicing words to cover and deceive. Words can or they
can conceal and even deceive.

A Christian recently wrote to me asking for more clarity about John

belief in a dual covenant where Jews can be saved apart from Christ. Yet
in his Christians United for Israel conferences held in most major cities,
he enforces a strict policy of not mentioning Jesus, forbidding attendees
to attempt to convert them. Hagee zealously trumpets the cause of political
Zionism, believing Jewish control of all Palestine will hasten the Rapture,
and puts this priority far ahead of bringing Christ to the Jewish people.

Let Us Reason Ministries, 2005
This deliverance program was originally founded
by Timothy Davis. Cleansing Stream is a deliverance ministry that is endorsed

says a lot. “Let me introduce you to Timothy Davis who has been on the
pastoral staff of Church on the Way (as Executive Director, but now longer
with them) and Cleansing Stream Ministries. I have often said that in our
ministry at the Church on the Way we refuse to be preoccupied with demons,
but we do cast them out. Because of the need of balance and insight
in this area I’d like to introduce you to a resource for approaching your
own teaching and training in the ministry of deliverance.” With supporting
headliners such as Hayford who can argue against its validity? However,
the question that needs to be asked is not if it is popular (or balanced),
but is it biblical?

(4) Jack
Hayford Expose by James Sundquist, 8/06
So it is appropriate that I do respond! My
reason for opposing T.D. Jakes, Kenneth Copeland, and Jack Hayford are
not because I disagree with their methods, rather it is because of the
content of their teaching as well as the false teachers they promote and
endorse and even co-labor with. I am not unique in my assessment of these
three teachers. Their published statements speak for themselves. But there
are also a great number of biblical discernment ministries besides me that
have done extensive research on their teachings who are highly credible.
But credible or not, the bottom line, is we must all be good Bereans and
simply line up their teachings with Scripture. I can only hope and pray
that many of you are simply not aware of all their teachings.

"What is John Hinkle's explanation for the apparent failure of his
prophecy that God would rip the evil out of this world on Thursday, June
9, 1994? An earthquake that took place on Wednesday, June 8th in Bolivia
(it was 00:33 Thursday Greenwich time, though it was still only Wednesday
in the five time zones that felt the 8.2 tremor) was said to be the physical
manifestation of a mere spiritual event."
David Hogan
(1) The
Remarkable Exploits of David Hogan - Astonishing Miracles or Incredible
Hype? by G. Richard Fisher, Personal Freedom Outreach, 6/00
"David Hogan has the perfect ploy. The miraculous events are always
left in his wake; they always happen elsewhere and he has no eyewitnesses
to verify it. Even the inspired writer, Luke, in talking of the certainty
of his report, said it was because of the number of “eyewitnesses” that
we could believe his account (Luke 1:1-4). Paul spoke of over 500 witnesses
of Christ’s resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:6). Our faith is to be in God
and His Word, not a man. Hogan offers absolutely no documentation of any
claims."

Manasseh Jordan
(1) Manasseh
Jordan: Letter to the People of St. Kitts and Nevis by Bud Press,
10/6/10
Manasseh Jordan claims to be a prophet of God, and is endorsed by
American televangelists such as Benny Hinn, Mike Murdock, Paula White,
and Paul Crouch of the Trinity Broadcasting Network. These people claim
to be Christian, but in reality they are false prophets, false teachers,
and false healers.

(5) Rising
Word Faith Profit Manasseh Jordon Imitating Benny Hinn by Ken Silva,
4/17/12
Briefly, let’s note a couple of things here. First of all, Jordan
clearly makes the claim that he has received personal revelation from God
through “the leadership of the Holy Spirit” to form the very basis of his
ministry and doctrine. Secondly, Manasseh Jordan supposedly operates within
“the realm of accurate prophetic ministry.” While at first sight that may
sound impressive, we must keep in mind that the Bible informs us the ministry
of the true prophet of the one true and living God is one hundred percent
accuracy—period.

(4) T.B.
Joshua - "Miracle Man" Rebuttal by Bill Randles
"I don't pretend to know Joshua's motivation; by all accounts he seems
to be a very sincere man. However sincerity is no safeguard against deception.
I am sure Edgar Cayce, Jean Dixon and countless other prophets, who by
Christian, Biblical standards would have to be regarded as False, were
equally sincere and unassuming. There are countless warnings in scripture
about the emergence of False Prophets and teachers who like Pharaoh's magicians,
withstood and hindered the true gospel by means of signs, wonders and miracles.
Just because Joshua seems to be able to produce "results", doesn't make
him a man of God, nor should we go there. The end does not justify the
means. The very idea of having to go to Nigeria to receive a healing, or
a miracle, or a Word from God, is unscriptural."

Watch, 8/1/12
Yesterday we posted about TB Joshua’s supposed prediction of the

prophecy originally said the shooting would take place on a military base
and the shooter would be a soldier. These details were edited out of the
Colorado prophecy video, presumably because they did not fit with the actual
event (in a cinema, by a student). Today, someone unconnected with TB Joshua
Watch uploaded a video to youtube showing the original prophecy and the
edited one. Not surprisingly, it clearly shows that the prophecy did contain
details that failed to come true so were edited out.

dead, many injured at SCOAN Ghana. This anointed water nonsense must stop!
by TB Joshua Watch, 5/21/13
TB Joshua has just released version 3.0 of his anointed water packaging.
The packaging for anointed water 2.0 boldly claimed that it was “for the
salvation of your soul“. Presumably since the release of 2.0 someone explained
to TB Joshua that only the blood of Jesus could provide salvation, so incredibly
for version 3.0 he labels his anointed water “the blood of Jesus“. You
can’t make this stuff up. Sadly, all the hysteria about the new, upgraded
anointed water packaging turned to tragedy on Sunday when a stampede happened
at SCOAN Ghana. 4 people were killed and many others injured, according
to a police officer at the scene “15 people who were seriously injured,
some with broken limbs, many others collapsed but were resuscitated.”

Joshua’s evolving MH370 prophecy by TB Joshua Watch, 3/27/14
As it stands, he’s not offered anything of any use. However, there
are a few points that he can’t retract or twist: 1.The plane is in the
sea. This is a safe bet to hedge because that seems the only likely hypothesis,
but until the plane is found, that cannot be certain. 2.The plane will
be found any moment from now (that was first said 9 days ago, so time is
ticking on that prediction). 3.By the end of the week, the mystery will
be solved (we will no longer be talking about it). We hope that TB Joshua’s
followers will at least hold him to these points, but will also pay attention
to the order in which his predictions have been revealed. This has been
an event where someone with genuine knowledge could have been incredibly
helpful and become very well known. What TB Joshua has said has added nothing.

TB Joshua’s anointed water the solution to the Ebola crisis? by
TB Joshua Watch, 8/12/14
On the 2nd August 2014, TB Joshua announces to his congregation
that he had just finished a meeting with a large delegations of officials
from the government and NGO’s such as UNICEF discussing various issues,
including the Ebola crisis. The delegation formally handed him a letter,
the contents of which he didn’t disclose. The way he described this meeting
led his delighted flock to believe that the officials had come to seek
the counsel of their “man of God”. Though the contents of the official
letter was never disclosed, it seems very likely that it announced the
tough measures being taken against any faith healers claiming to be able
to heal Ebola. The Washington post have reported that any pastor or healer
claiming to be able to heal the virus will face jail time.

Maitreya: Lord Of The Apostasy? by Ed Tarkowski, 1996
"Endtimes! Unity! Celebration! Joy! Rebirth! Right Relationships!
Transformation! The greatest Move of God ever known to the Church! These
are the subjects I addressed in my three part series on the surge of Latter
Rain and Restorationist unity, harvest and revival currently hitting the
Church head on. As I researched the articles, which focused on the "birthing
of the corporate child" by the year 2000, I was shocked to see that the
various quotations I'd gathered from church leaders also formed a vivid
picture of these new moves in the Church. Months later, as I began to research
false christs for our Home Page on our Lord's second coming, I was again
taken aback as I discovered that the same Latter Rain/Restorationist agenda
was being proposed through the directives and messages of Lord Maitreya,
the "Master of All Masters" channeled by New Ager Benjamin Creme. Lord
Maitreya is a likely candidate to be the "Lord" of the endtime Apostasy,
and may very well manifest himself in some way during the global celebrations
scheduled for the year 2000."
(3) The
Final Equinox 2000 ... Maitreya by Daniel Adam Millar, 1996
An interesting, if somewhat speculative theory on the end times. However,
there is a lot of fascinating information about Lord Maitreya, who the

Revelation 13".
(4) Lord
Maitreya: The Messiah In Disguise? by the Watchman Fellowship,
1995
"According to Benjamin Creme, spokesman for the Maitreya and director
of the Tara Center, the Maitreya appeared in Nairobi, Kenya to a group
of about 6,000 worshipers. "On June 11, he appeared suddenly in the crowd
and spoke to them in their own language, Swahili, for a time. Benjamin
Creme confirmed that this appearance was truly Maitreya the Christ in one
of his many guises" (Network News, June/July 1988, p. 2)."
(5) Maiterya's
New Logo Symbol
This is purportatdly Maitreya's new logo. Here's the animated
version. You will notice that it can be seen as having 666 elements. The
basic six-pointed star is made up of two pyramids. On each six point are
six logos. The first seal is the I-Ching/yin-yang as the center for a lotus
flower with an embedded swastika. This is the same as the center seal.
The second seal is a star of David of Israel. The third seal is the cross
of Christianity, the fourth seal is the cresent moon of Islam with an I-Ching
in the middle of the star. The fifth seal is the nine-pointed star of Baha'i.
The sixth seal is allegedly the seal of the "Elects" which is basically
a star of David with a rising sun embedded with a swastika. You will notice
that he I-Ching symbol itself is made up of six elements. The lotus flower
petal represents the seventh level of "chakra" called the Soma/Sahasrara
Chakra where a person allegedly becomes one with the universe. "The
seventh trumpet is representative of the event when the Aquarian experiences
the Soma/Sahasrara Chakra activation." On the day
of declaration Maitreya will likely announce himself with the blast
of a "shofar", the Jewish "Jubilee" trumpet. At the blast of this "shofar",
all who have been initiated into Kundalini-type
experiences and manifestations, such as Hindu mystics, Tibetan monks,
channelers, mediums, witches, witch doctors, voodoo preists, satanists,
transcendental meditationists, "counterfeit" revivalists and many others
will have their highest "chakra", the Soma/Sahasrara Chakra, "activated"
and will hear Maitreya speaking to them in
unison in their minds. When they realize that people from many religions
are hearing the same thing, they will assume that the "anointing" is on
"all men" and that Christ has returned to earth. This will unify them together
as the world church under Maitreya, the False Prophet. This will likely
usher in the Tribulation. If you would like an explanation
of what the symbols in Maitreya's logo mean in the occult, go here.

Claims To Be Decended From King David & Muhammad with comment
by Sandy Simpson, 4/4/06
This article was sent to me by a reader of the DITC web site.
These geneology claims were to be expected from promoters of Maitreya.
They are trying to sycretize all religions into one with Maitreya being
the expected coming Christ, etc. Check out the following links for
their claims about Maitreya. Maitreya is a good candidate for the
antichrist. Keep in mind while viewing this material that it is full
of lies. However, this proposed geneology does show that Maitreya
is from and Islamic country, which would be consistent with the view of
many biblical scholars that the antichrist will be from and Islamic country.

Different Gospel - An Evaluation Of The Teachings Of Robert Schuller
by Rev. Gil Rugh
"I
am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace
of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there
are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ"
(Galatians 1:6-7). Millions of people around the world are familiar with
the ministry of Dr. Robert Schuller. His television program and books have
made him one of the most recognized figures in Christianity today. Many
look to him as an expert on Christian doctrine and living, but are the
teachings of Dr. Schuller in line with what the Bible teaches? In his work,
A Different Gospel: An Evaluation of the Teachings of Robert Schuller,
Pastor Gil Rugh compares the teachings of Robert Schuller with the Bible

Things are really gearing up for the Jubilee 2000 celebration around

End-Time
Handmaidens - Ministry For The Last Days or "End Time" Delusion?
by Personal Freedom Outreach, The Quarterly Journal, July-September 1994
"All in all, with its doctrinal ambiguity, theological aberrations,
unscriptural emphasis on the sunpernatural experiences and prophetical
and mystical leanings, the End-Time Handmaidens is an attraction for the
spiritually naive and undiscerning. The foundation of the group is
far-removed from the bedrock of Christian orthodoxy. ETH is just
another "end time" delusion. It has a confusing message of salvation,
with people only committing to Gwen Shaw's control and her plethora of
false teachings and teachers." Sorry we cannot include this article

(2) The
End-Time Handmaidens And Servants Cult - Founder: Gwen Shaw by
Mark Scheiderer, 7/00
"Former member of the End-Time Handmaidens & Servants Cult Mark
Scheiderer states: "The reasons I am writing this report on my experience
with Gwen Shaw and the cult she has founded - a.k.a. End-Time Handmaidens
& Servants - are five (six, seven & eight [added later]) fold:
(1) To let people know how others and myself were treated while working
at this cult's headquarters. (2) Because of my grief over the mental abuse
Mrs. Shaw inflicted upon certain people before their departure. (3) Because
I can no longer agree with or keep silent about Mrs. Shaw's writings, which
are New Age teachings..(4) Because of the pain and destruction that Mrs.
Shaw, her teachings, and members of this cult have caused in my parent's
marriage (now ended in divorce), the lives of my immediate and extended
families, my life and personal relationships with others both during and
after my association with this cult, and in the lives of countless others.
(5) So that as many people as possible, especially those within this cult
would know the truth about this cult." Gwen Shaw appeared on Benny
Hinn's "This Is Your Day" during the month of October, 2000. Hinn sold
and endorsed five of her books (with a sixth one free for $40) These books
are small paperbacks. Bill Bright, C. Peter Wagner, John Arnott and
others endorse Gwen Shaw.
(3) Web Of Deception - Gwen Shaw by
Donna M. Shuck, 2007
I have been going to see Gwen Shaw for many years on a weekend retreat
once a year at the Retreat Center in PA. I admired her missionary travels
all over the world and her authorship of many books, ministry to women
and emphasis on prayer and fasting. I admired her promotion of many other
authors’ books which she presented at every convention freely. However,
there were times that I didn’t agree with some of the statements she made
or some of the behaviors that were going on in these meetings and felt
uncomfortable with the power that seemed to permeate the very air with
a powerful drawing effect. Recently God has opened my eyes in a fresh way
and awakened me concerning this false supernatural spirit, the false doctrines
and the mishandling of scriptures in her teachings and I am eternally grateful
to Him; therefore, I’d like to present you with this enlightening account
of just some of the false teachings I have encountered regarding Gwen Shaw
as well as those whom she heartily endorses.

his biblical views, priorities and methods.

NEW!
Generic and Specific
by Sandy Simpson
This DVD is a message based on this
article.
In my article “Blasphemizing the Bible” (http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/blasphemizingthebible.html)
I give a number of examples of how a lot of modern Bible translation societies
are putting the names of “supreme beings” in the Bible in the place of
God or YHWH. In this article I'm going to examine two of the excuses they
make for making those substitutions in the Bible in many hundreds of different
languages today.
(1) They claim that God has many different names and therefore
they think they are justified in putting the names of various gods of various
cultures in Bibles, as long as they are considered “supreme beings”.
(2) The second excuse they give is that the names of the
“gods” they are placing in the Bible are generic terms for God, like the
words “God”, “Theos”, “Dios” and “Elohim”. By generic I mean a word that
can be used for any deity whether of the one true God or other false gods
who claim to be God.
I will go through both of these excuses and show that
they are both unbiblical, therefore the Bibles they have translated with
names of other gods in them, or names they claim are generic, prove that
they have “blasphemized” those Bibles.
